Yes if it airs in late Aug. there’s no special effects to do and it’s not a period drama. So if they buckle down and edit well then could possibly air. Now I just worry the editing may not be done well if it’s so rushed. This is the fastest drama in history to air after finished filming Isn’t it just 3 months since?

dubbing is already done. it's just the special effects and w/e post production entails. hmh is abbreviated name for male lead of the unclouded soul, hou ming hao. Chinese netizens like to abbreviate names. XY = xiao yao= the chinese name of the unclouded soul. I and some people just like to keep it as xy bc it's quicker to type. I actually wouldn't have minded if the english name was The Legend of Xiao Yao, since fl's name is also xiao yao.

For XY it will air this year, HMH said it might air this Summer, someone said post production is nearly finish, and voice recording is already done. But there's still no broadcasting license, which is a sign that it will air soon (typically in 1-2 months after broadcasting license). I'm not sure if they are waiting for cctv's prime time slot or something. But, it's been annoying to not have any signs or promotions at all for XY.

Most artists start off in an entertainment company, so they have a lot of resources and opportunities. Once they get an inkling of popularity, their companies will work them to exhaustian, little to no vacation time, pack their schedule with variety shows, dramas, reality shows, endorsement shootings etc. So, there's always a pro and con in joining a big company, but little freedom and autonomy. SS has been her own boss, and started her own studio since day 1. it's always been her, and her manager, and she slowly grew her team. With that said, her career growth is ofc much slower, and much harder as she has to grab and fight for evey opportunity. She has social anxiety, so she prefers to not join variety shows, unless it's with someone she's close to. She also tends to choose variety shows that invovles chatting and eating more vs RM. She also has the rights and freedom to choose her own script, ofc her manager will also sift through the scripts and provide her the ones she thinks is good. Even though she may be low key and isn't as active, lets say for ex like Bailu, 100% of the pay is kept to herself (minus paying for her staff). She gets to take 1-2 month breaks and go under the radar, and choose the route she wants, which isn't traffic star.

She may not be an obvious candidate for the top 90s flowers to the general public, but she is definitely recognized for her integrity, work ethics, and acting skills in the entertainment industry. She's working with bigger directors, and getting S+ resources. She's just low key, and we just have to accept this and just enjoy her dramas. She has a great work life balance, choose which script she likes, take whichever sponsor that she's comfortable with, and take long breaks.

well, the director visited ss yesterday on set of against the current. he's also filmin the new mystic nine in hengdian. Otherwise, this drama is airing next year, so lets wait until then.

well, they are releasing reuters almost daily so that's kind of a promotion. I have good feeling this drama will promote heavily and won't be stingy like ss' XY. They have released 0 plot, I'm just guessing from the rumours and the scheduling.

The very final casting is posted, and surprise surprise, Li Juan (ss's bff) is also in it as a special guest!! No wonder ss said the team is very lovely, this is basically a reunion party for her haha.
