agreed with the comments that said it's bland but cute.

i love it, it's so dramatic which i find it a little funny but the arrange marriage plot also has some stakes in it so it's not really simply a contract. love love love it so far. solid 8, hope they can end it nicely

i forgot on which episode but it's the carousel scene and jieum said things along the line "you said you would never meet juwon again if she ever comeback" and i have no memory of seoha saying that line or jieum asking him qs about that. apparently it was shown in the preview but did not show up in the next episode.

also i need to rewatch how seoha's mom got reincarnated and able to remember past life too? as she wasn't in jieum first life memory iirc

lastly, mingi told jieum how to end the curse but what happened to him? also when jieum ended her own curse, did everything restart from the moment she was born as jieum? i kinda lost the plot there as she's back working as an engineer in that car company and not the hotel. then, if it is restarted fron the moment she was born as jieum, how did she managed to get to that car company when she grew up in toxic household with her father and brother? that detail irks me kinda.

with this editing issue, i think originally the series would have 14-16 eps but cut short to 12. or maybe it IS planned to be 12 eps but something happened in post production...

as for the ending. well i dont dislike it. i understand that it could be seen as a lazy writing/rushed, but i can see it as a good way to end a star crossed lover trope

personally, id rate this 8.5. butttt, i notice there is a problem with details (spoiler below). so solid 8 :) i cant go below 8 as i kove this so badddddd , so sorry not sorry.

non spoiler things that i like:
- haesun always delivers omg i have no words. i love her performance here and i will definitely look forward her next project
- bohyun as seoha is just right. he looks like he can kill you, but actually a cinnamon roll. though i think he can show a lil bit more umph to the performance
- im a sucker for chowon & doyoon storyline. so as you can infer, i enjoy watching whole 1h eps. no skipss
- the shots are prettyyyy me likeyyyy

dislike:
- at like the first two eps, everything seems soooo fast paced. like woah hold on
- second lead couple screentime... just because i need more of them!

exactly what i was thinking. the son cameo is too ... abrupt? (i cant find the exact word and english is not my first language either. exxuse moi). the explanation that there is a hidden life of haejun where he had a son also too fast for me to proceed while watching. i need to take a moment but it still doesn't add up which leads to the "what ifs/probably" situation. but oh well, it was good series to follow weekly.

they tried to prevent/save everyone from death (the guest lecturer, soonae's sister, bumryeong)

super PG-13 couple (just like Do You Like Brahms), but it's the little moments that makes my heart flutters. script wise, i think it's written quite well although there are holes or unexplained things. definitely no need for season 2, it's perfectly wrapped up. UNLESS, there's plan to make a spin off from Haejun & Yoonyoung's son.

everything is fun until around episode 12 or 14 (iirc), for my liking from that episode onwards the pace feels draggy. nevertheless, it deserves above 8 rating. the begining til the middle of the season will hypnotize you just like magic (pun intended, yes)

i do recommend to wat h until at least episode 4 😬
