I'm still enjoying this but the music scene by the lake had me shaking my head. Seriously, what was up with that fake mist? I would have run out there screaming FIRE! if I'd seen all that smoke coming at me like that. I sometimes wonder why people on the production team dont notice things like that.
If you're loving this show, the following synopsis is not for you. Episode 10 begins with an out-of-the-blue scene…
In the translation I saw, the mom called him Daonuea. I am glad you brought this up because I didnt see any other comments on it and was beginning to wonder if I hallucinated the whole thing. It was so random and never followed up on. And if they are suddenly trying to suggest Dao was abandoned by his mother or kidnap, it's way too late in the series to be bringing that up. Something so serious should've been touched throughout the entire series to help build the story behind who Daonuea is today.
People are too sensitive these days. It's a drama, enjoy it. No one said to follow what they are doing.
Amen to that. BL was never made for the LGBTQ community. It was, and I hope will always be, made for cis women. To all those screaming rape all the time, it isnt rape, it is rape fantasy. There is a huge difference. I have said this before and will say it again, the forced scenes in yaoi and BL are all about a womans need to be desired. This comes from the old bodice ripper romance novels that women used to read all the time. Yaoi and BL have been switched up according to what cis gender women prefer to see and that's men.
The male gaze has been the only thing that seemed to occupy minds of authors and script writers for a very long time. Yaoi and BL are all about the female gaze. Finally. But now the LGBTQ community wants to hijack it for their own agenda and I can already see a shift in what artists are creating as a result.
Cis men are highly unlikely to consume BL or yaoi content and they make up the vast majority of sex offenders around the globe. And it is even more improbable that a cis gender woman is going to watch a forced scene in BL or yaoi and go out and try to rape a man with a freaking strap-on so how are either ever going to result in a rise in rape? Unless these people screaming about rape all the time are suggesting that gay men are watching this and slowly turning into rapists. It's absurd.
I grew up with many gay friends and have many gay friends and coworkers to this day. I know the struggles they've faced over the years and heard more than my share of horror stories. But the LGBTQ community is free to make their own content that is safe from rape fantasy and forced sex scenes but they should leave BL alone. Let it be how it has been for many, many years now and like you said, they need to stop spoiling the fun for those of us who can see BL and yaoi for what it is and that is, pure fantasy.
WTF was that totally random, and seemingly very important and serious, scene before the opening credits that they never touched on again during the rest of the show? Who the hell edited this? They should never work in the entertainment industry again.
And the Boat and Candy part was really lame. Honestly, if my bf left me standing alone in a bar to take some random hot chick to the hospital, I'd dump his sorry butt.
Aside from those things, the episode was ok. So it seems anybody who wants to watch this can watch ep 0, 1, 2, maybe 3 and skip all the way to ep 10 or fast forward through until 10.
In my opinion, ep 8 was the best so far. I fell into the story and no major issues pulled me out of it. I thought the interactions between Kamol and Kim felt natural and were cute. It was a little on the boring side though. They could have spiced it up with more romance during this honeymoon phase but all in all, I enjoyed it.
I am really enjoying this. I think the plot is interesting and I am not finding it lazy at all. I think it's great so far. I think the acting is well done and I like the chemistry between the two leads. It's not steamy like War of Y. It's more innocent which fits the characters much better since both have stated they have never been in a relationship before. I am looking forward to seeing how they get back but I have a feeling it's going to be sad before it's happy again. The script they are writing feels like a premonition of what is to come for them both when they return and other conversations they've had just add to this feeling.
Ep 2 was so good and so tragic. I used a translator app for the texts and that helped a lot. Nott messed up with the Live he did and the fans didnt take it well. Pan tried to fix it for him and made it worse and that is why he was freaking out during the love scene. He does explain that end with his emotional breakdown over him being damned if he does and damned if he doesnt. The whole episode really made me despise shippers who take their fantasy too far and so, so many do. I see it all the time on Twitter. I saw a comment on Youtube that suggested that this show is already causing some fans to think more about their behavior. I hope it has a really positive effect on people who take this stuff too far. I think fan service should be banned.
Steamy, steamy scenes with Nott and Pan. Way hot!
And Pan's manager is an evil sex monger. I hope she goes down hard.
I came here to ask the same question or see if anyone had found it yet…
It shows 4/4 parts in the membership section but the total time doesnt add up. Total runtime of those 4 parts is only 35 mins 21 seconds so this episode was really short.
Candy really had her whole mic hanging out in the pub scene while Daonuea desperately tried to cover it with his…
I had to go back and watch that scene and oh brother, that mic is hanging out all over the place!!! LOL!!! How the deuce did I miss it the first time? Also, that first drink alone would've put Dao into a coma, let alone all the equally huge glasses they had later. Nobody can drink whisky like that, not even an 8 foot tall giant.
At least this show introduced me to some good songs, though I will forever wonder how the hell they went from…
Agreed. I loved the opening song from Ep 0 so much I bought it on Amazon. If anybody is wondering what that song is, its Pretty Carolina by Jontha Links.
I thought ep 9 was really cute. I guess it could be considered mostly filler, but I dont really feel that way since it showed Vee and Mark getting closer. I think they could have shown that in a better way because the whole boxing bit was totally unrealistic, but it was still fun to watch. Only one episode left and I think this might be one of my favorite BLs to date.
Daonuea better not die at the end!!!!!?????......https://youtu.be/2MDV8Nvjrxg
Im betting it's Praew, but honestly I am not invested in any character so it doesnt really matter to me. I dont even know why Im still watching this. Must be Chahub's body and the fact that I've already watched this far that keeps me tuning in every Saturday.
