And that's exactly how the FL is in the drama.

In that Fl even tells ML that she loved him all the time even when she was dating other men. But the drama shows other men as the problem when it was the Fl who always loved the ML being the problem.

It becomes tricky to project a character to be in love one person and be in relationship with another.
Kdramas do this all the time with FL, problem with this is that the FL's in these scenarios come across as Aholes. To cover the fact that FL's are Aholes, the dramas make their boyfriends as cheaters, which does not make sense since the Fl never was 100% into these men. You need a lot of nuance to write such characters and Kdrama fail spectacularly making the FL look like, as I said top grade Aholes

funny thing is, the ML's in Kdramas have no nuance.
They are pure virgins waiting on FL who they loved for a long long time.

but she was in love with ML the whole time.
That's what unrequited love means.

That in effect means she was always shafting her fiance because she was holding a candle to another man.

Imagine if this was ML doing to some other woman, where he was shagging this woman while being in love with FL.
the ML would be horrible person.

Nothing improved in ep2 as well.
the ML is as pathetic as ever.

This is going to be another drop for me.
Can't really watch these pathetic ML with no shame or spine pining after women who care more about their 'second aunts third daughter-in-law's fifth cousin' than him.

She dated other men and even had a fiance.
If she had unrequited feelings for ML and then had another man as fiance, it pretty much is the FL who is the problem in that relationship.
It basically means she screwed her fiance right from the start. Him cheating on the FL needs a whole new perspective since she never fully committed to her fiance.

This is one of the problems in Kdramas.
FL is shown as dating other men while being in love with ML all the while.
Then FL's boyfriend cheats and we are supposed to feel sorry for her even though she had been in love with ML while being with other men....

On other hand, the ML as far as we know is the one who is keeping himself pure without looking at any other women.
There is no complications with Kdrama ML's.
Their body and mind is always very pure for the ML.

Not love triangle but the usual Kdrama FL with multiple men angle,

I suspect romance is going to kill this drama.

ML is looking very pathetic at this point.
FL rejected him and dated another guy. Instead of moving on and dating few girls, this guy for some weird reason stays put.
Even now the absolute patheticness of ML to act so whipped for a girl who does not give a flyinfF about him is yuck.

You would think at this point this clown would have some self respect to wait for the FL to make a move on him but this is just too pathetic to watch.

if the genders were reversed we would be telling the FL to have self respect and make the ML crawl to win her over,

I have no idea why people still call what happens in Kdramas as love triangle!

Love triangle implies, sometimes Fl has 2 men in her life and sometimes ML has 2 women in his life

in kdramas it;s always the FL with multiple men around her.

Kdramas have only one thing, a harem for the FL.

After watching countless western superhero TV shows and movies and be disappointed, I have come to appreciate even more how special this Kdrama is.

The whole character arks of everyone involved and their journey is what makes this superhero drama so incredible.

Every ML in every Kdrama with romance is basically there as fan service to female audience.

The message basically is, no matter how many boyfriends you have had, you will always end up with a pure virgin handsome prince charming.

Kdrama ML has been a doormat with zero self respect for 5+ years now.

The only thing happening is ML's getting more and more pathetic with every new Kdrama.

Let's just say it, the ML has a million dollar smile.

Ep1, drama establishes ML has been in love with FL for a long time.
Ep1 also establishes FL being in relationship with another guy.
Ep1 also establishes ML having a front row seat of FL being in relationship with another dude.

That point is moot.

After the trial ended, She knew it was a trial for her & she has choice of being with the man who loved her and their child.
She dumped both of them and tried to settle down with another man, who fortunately turned out to be her dumped husband.

ML is absolutely generous to her trashy behavior,
and so do everyone around her.

Her being aggrieved is the journey she had to take to become a goddess.
THAT was her trial to become powerful.
She had to go through that trauma to come out on the other side as a powerful goddess.

Why do you keep ignoring that part?

She had to go through that pain with or without ML.
With him taking the journey, he shared her pain numerous times.

And he got a boot in the end from an ungrateful clown who just abandoned him.

I am not trying to understand ML and FL characters.

I am making a simple observations on how the writers have portrayed ML and FL in this drama.

The observations are just that, observations, nothing more and nothing less.

There is not a single girl in the world who would present a chain to a man as a present unless they are lovers, especially a chain you ask back.

If at all a girl want's to give something to a boy, there are a million things she can present. chain would not even enter her mind.

Whether both FL and ML are green flags is not the observation I made.
Observation I made was , Fl dated, ML is a pure virgin.

Exactly why I watched exactly 1 thai drama and did not even finished it.
Thai dramas are not to my taste.

Btw, there are many Kdramas and Cdramas where the FL romances ML and even the brother of the ML.
surprising how you belittle Thai dramas for ML being with SFL & then have no problems with FL in Cdramas and Kdramas doing the same!

Anyhow, slowly it looks like romance genre Cdramas and Kdramas are going into my 'not my taste' section as well.

Just don't understand the incredible fascination of Kdramas and Cdramas to have their ML like this. It feels fake, awkward and even cringy.

You are looking at the problem wrong.

Issue is not with the FL, like you said, it;s normal for 18 year olds to have attraction to opposite sex.
The issue is, what you are saying about love and attraction at 18 years never applies to ML in cdramas.
THAT is the issue, the ML, not the FL.

regarding the chain, there is no universe where a 18 year old girl would give a chain to a boy because he helped her. There is no scenario where a chain is just a present and not symbolic of romance. If it was a present, she would not have asked for it back.
She does not have a boyfriend because they broke off.

Again, there is simply no issue with the FL, she is a normal 18 year old with crushes and attractions.
The fake is the ML, who is shown to basically treat all women except FL as disease. You would never see a Cdrama ML showing attraction of crush towards a woman that's not FL.
