Nothing wrong with either of them.
Funny how a man abandons his child, he gets skewered & rightly so.
but a woman murders her baby............that murder is justified as 'choice' and 'empowerment'.

Let's be honest, that ex wife is a monster and a murderer, a filthy subhuman much more vile and evil than the dad who beat and abused his daughter.

murdering a child or abusing a child has a much level of disgust associated than the other things we see.

On your point, I agree, the ones in clinic shaming that women were the real monsters.

It's very refreshing to see a Kdrama that has a moderately positive spin on having children, how loving they are and how they fulfill lives of families.

Title Beyond the Bar Spoiler
Every Korean law drama devolves into "men bad, women good" sanctimonious crap. It's actually impressive…
The ML's ex-wife is a trash and murderer.

She should have received the same fate as the vile man who abused her little daughter.
Alas, the ex-wife still gets to walk around with her head held high after murdering her own child.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, and so are you, but what she did to the ML is morally wrong. I understand…
I am not talking about what the ex-wife did to the ML.
I am talking about what she did to the unborn baby.

This episode was very clever & hits the more subtle point hard.
We all as viewers saw what happened to the little girl in the hands of her own father. We were horrified, disgusted and wanted justice for the little girl.
BUT the ex-wife actually murdered the ML's child, it's not an opinion, it's a fact. If the ex-wife did not murder (abort) the little baby, by now that baby would be healthy and happy in the arms of his/her father.

The beating by the father of that little was horrible and we were rightly horrified & yet people give justifications and excuses for the ex-wife murdering a child.

Any parent, father/mother abandons, abuses, does not look after or does not give them enough love, is horrible, period.
Children are the most vulnerable being on this earth & parents are that child's protectors.
If the protectors themselves abuses, abandons or worse murders (abortion) them and we don;t blink , something is wrong with us too.

Ya'll are being really weird here. Its the woman's choice when to have a baby and who she has it with. Just because…
The baby never gets to make choice for itself, does he/she?

Wonder if nazis felt the same way about jews.
As if Jews were not even human but just some lump of cells they can do what they want with it.

'Abortion' is the largest genocide committed in human history, on the most vulnerable humans.
It's not vile, it's beyond evil and frightening that people murder young babies and don't even feel little bit guilty.

Yo...Beyond the Bar is definitely dropping some bars, here. I have since dropped Law and the City and this is…
There was a cute Labrador dog which had a 5 puppies.
The owner aborted all 5 puppies after they were just born.

Wonder how people would feel about the owner who aborted them new born Labrador babies

Now you are thinking the term 'abortion' does not apply if it's just after birth & I am being ridiculous.

That was not the point.
Imagine the emotion you felt when you read the owner murdered the 5 new born puppies.
Now wonder why you don't feel the same emotion when a woman murders her unborn child & are ok with using the word 'abortion' to make it seem as if it was not a murder.

As humans we are supposed to protect the weak.
If we see a little girl being assaulted, it's instinctive to help that girl. We take care of our elderly, disabled & even mentally challenged. We protect vulnerable humans with laws and humanity.
BUT when it comes the most vulnerable humans, the ones in tummy, those little life, extremely vulnerable and extremely precious, we don't blink to murder them and then dehumanize their extinguished life as if they were lumps of meat and did not deserve a chance at life.

A lot of tyrants committed inexcusable atrocities in human history by dehumanizing sections of people.
We are in middle of yet another atrocity as we speak.

Yet another movie/drama from Korean industry that takes a wonderful source material and butchers it.

Here is a suggestion to the Korean film/drama industry.
Stop using your brains. They are become rotten to the core. Just follow the source material 100%

Probably but nothing too serious, as a guy I can confidently say that most guys fall in love every day with a…
This is what happens when you watch Kdramas and Cdrama where the ML is one woman for life and never looks at anyone else kind of guy.

In reality, as a man hits puberty, he is not thinking of love.
He will basically look at any pair of boobies coming his way. If there is an offer for sex, he will take it.
The only exception is if he is in a relationship. Even then his mind and eyes will wander and only restricts himself because of the love he has for the woman he is with.

If a man is single and has offers, he is grabbing them, with both hands, a tongue and other other body parts.

Excellent drama, could have been better.

The villain is well defined and the actor shows enormous range and looks to have had fun playing the role & he is pretty much the star of this show.
The actor who plays the hero has played versatile characters before but this one demanded he maintain very few expressions. As the drama progressed the hero does not evolve and sticks to showing the same expressions. The character should have had a lot more expressions.

The high-light of the drama were the school episodes and when the 2 kids finally snap.
That was brilliantly done.

it's not that surprising.

police in democracies have their hands tied by regulations and human rights.
Just look at UK and how they allowed gang rape of little white girls for decades to not offend a section of their population.

Excellent first 2 episodes.

Like everything about the drama, especially the tone.
This is what 'Good Boy' would have been had they done characters well.

the older Kdrama romances had bit of balance.
around 2-3 years back, Kdrama romances started getting shittier and shittier.

the same pure virgin simpy wimpy ML.
and the progressive FL who shagged other men.

Similar to how govt's should hide things from their countries people because the people would not react properly, right?

Again, let's do the math. 20% of population at any time has STD's.
By default everyone's position should be 'we want to know your sexual activity'. Not because we want to know whom and how many they fked but for simple reason that it will us to make an educated judgment on whether we want to be with that person or not.

Take Hollywood for example, everyone knows whom eeryone fked. They don't care, they accept it and live with it.
That is the right way to go.

I don't understand the logic behind this.

On one hand the common consensus here is that having sex before marriage with who ever they want is fine and even a sign of "empowerment".
Then we get this argument that this so called empowering thing should be hidden!

BUT
you are right.
people want to fk around but want to pretend to be pure when they get married.
Not getting STD's is significantly more important than feelings of people who fked around.

Why should a normal people who lived their life in right manner end up with STD's because the person they married had fked around and has STD's?

20% of US population has STD's at any given time. This includes even minors.

Given that fact, knowing about a person would be the best thing.
A person should know the person they are getting into a relationship with.

If someone feels their past should not be known to their spouse, that itself is a major red flag.
It's your spouse. Others don't need to know but the one you are marrying need to know everything about you and accept it.

Fantastic 3 episodes.

The characters make sense, they act their age & profession, have their own goals and romance at this point seems secondary.

Drama has a high level of maturity.

Cases are good and interesting.
End of episode 3, we got a scumbag husband trying to shaft his wife. Looking forward to how the ML deals with this.

John Wick wears a suit which is knife proof, bullet proof and proof of few other things.
John Wick is NOT a young buck but an experienced hand who was in the game for a long time before becoming 'John Wick'
John Wick is not dumb. He preps for every fight & then goes in.
