Sorry, can't root for a woman that dumped her husband and child for her selfish desires. For 27 years this woman…
Yes, nothing is perfect. Neither is the step mother. DanDan did not magically grow up from a new born to a 27 year old without the step-mom putting in tremendous effort.
That is the whole context of my argument.
Step-mom is not perfect but she was there for DanDan and her dad when they desperately needed someone. Whether it was for her own selfish needs or otherwise, this woman was there.
The real mom just left them for dead.
It's a bit jarring to sympathize with Anna because she visited them once and saw they were doing ok....What if the child died or the dad left her in an orphanage because he had no capacity for look after her? the step-mother prevented that horrible scenario. Anna now strutting in and behaving as if the guy and DanDan belongs to her by default is jarring.
Sorry, can't root for a woman that dumped her husband and child for her selfish desires. For 27 years this woman…
To each their own I guess.
Imagine if a guy left his wife and new born for his own desires and comes back after 27 years. It would be ok and everything should be forgotten because the current husband is a leech & did not take care of her child.
Just to drive home the point, the guy was not there at all, He was absent for 27 years of the child's life. he did not contribute a single penny, he did not spend a single minute raising the child. He was not there when she was crying. He did not cook a single meal for her. He did not change her diapers. He was not there for her in her teen years when she needed him most.
I can go on but that's what DanDan's mom did.
She is a nice person does not absolve the fact that she was a horrible person to her ex and her daughter.
Step-mother is biased but she cooked, cleaned and looked after DanDan. It was not good but the step-mom did it, even if it's half-hearted and biased. The mom, was just absent.
Let's not forget the abuse step-mom had to suffer from DanDan as well where she was blaming her for her real mother being absent. They were not perfect for each other but they were there for each other in some form.
The real mother was just not there. Her being a nice woman does not absolve her for what she did. You can be a nice person over all but can still be the most terrible person to some one. For DanDan's dad, the most terrible person in his life would be this woman.
I think I am the only one who wants Anna to get her ex. His wife is nothing but a useless whining leech. He didn’t…
Sorry, can't root for a woman that dumped her husband and child for her selfish desires.
For 27 years this woman was absent from their lives. Good or bad or leech, the other woman was there and took care of them.
Suddenly if this guy goes to back to his ex who mercilessly dumped him with a new born girl and dump his wife of 27 years - well, he is just being Ahole. Good or bad or leech or anything, she is his wife who stayed with him unlike the other woman who dumped him.
Just because she is being nice now does not absolve her of the unpardonable crap she pulled.
Sorry, can't root for a woman who chose her career over her husband & child just because after 27 years she misses them and wants them back.
There is a reason why she is not telling them who she is. She knows what will happen if she does. No sane man would ever go back to a woman who dumped him with a new born.
YG body and mind knows what it wants, resistance at this point is futile. Looks like the new guy will bring out things to a boil.
Anna is being a bit creepy at this point. She is just trying to buy back people she let go mercilessly. She must come clean at this point before trying to seduce her ex back. That guy is married for god sake & you are the woman that caused the most pain to him. Thinking he would do a happy dance just because you are back is far fetched.
This was a perfect rom-com. It hit right spots for the genre. It being just 20 episodes helped a lot. The FL was bubbly, adorably stupid at times and her character was very easy on the eye. Considering her age in the drama, writers made the right choice not to turn her into an adult by end of the drama and let her retain her youthful innocence right until the end,
Actor who played the ML was great choice. He really nailed it. It was hilarious watching this grown man turn into happy puppy for the girl he loved.
It was cliche, it was embarrassing at times but it was also lot of fun.
Five minutes into the first episode & I can already see the writers & director are collective morons.
ML was getting hit by shuttlecock and he is acting as if he is being shot with bullets. At worst it stings for a second or two. This guy falls down as if he needs immediate surgery and a kidney replacement after getting hit by a shuttlecock.
And I have never seen a Cdrama where the ML is getting dumped or cheated on in the first episode or for that matter in the whole drama.
That whole plot line of the FL getting dumped/cheated on which does not add anything to the story makes her look pathetic.
As a thumb rule I have stopped watching dramas where the FL is getting dumped in the first episode. Just know at that point that the drama has nothing to offer.
Why do Cdrama rom-coms start with the FL getting cheated on or dumped by her BF?
in some dramas it does serve a purpose but adding this plot line where she gets dumped/cheated in first 15 mins of drama, what exactly are we supposed to feel?
And in most of these dramas after getting dumped, she gets together with ML pretty quickly. It shows two things, the ML is her rebound and the FL did not really love the previous guy - both are red flags.
"it's not about me, it's about my friend"...that whole thing was hilarious.
The kiss & the slap.
For once, welcome the new guy and the impending love triangle. YG is 22 and he is behaving like one. Will make for one funny & confusing love triangle.
Fantasizing about brothers of their partners a thing in China and Korea?
Seen a lot of Cdramas and Kdramas with FL, ML and ML's brother forming a triangle. This probably sells as a outlet for some viewers who like these things.
Have never seen a triangle with ML, FL and FL's sister though.
It shows that the writers and directors intentionally sell girl romanticizing partner's brother.
In some cultures, elder brother's woman is a motherly figure to the younger ones. I guess too much of social changes happened where in it has become a norm to accept these kinds of morbid relations.
After he knew the FL was his brother's lover, he still goes and sticks it to her and then tells her the truth.
In most cases, the girl would be devastated.
But the story line is different to usual ones and the brother is dead. Even though it's edgy, am sure it would find the right audience who like these kinds of story-lines but the ML did the FL dirty. Should have told her the truth before he slept with her the second time around.
can someone explain to me what male lead likes about female lead? i feel like he was sort of annoyed and then…
Most Cdrama ML have a thing for women crying in public about other guys,
the more these girls cry about other, the more these handsome, successful, rich and nice guys fall for these girls. These ML are right there to catch these girls on the rebound. The only role the ML have in these dramas to pull the FL out of her bad relationship and simp her.
I suspect all these Cdrama ML, most of them are CEO's or very successful, just wait in bars for women crying so that they can pick them and fall in love. Nothing gets these men's juices flowing than seeing a girl crying over other guys. Not sure how that's romantic or attractive but hey, who are we to judge these men?
She didn't say that. The subtitles translated it to "celibate" which is completely different from virgin. She's…
How can you have sex and still remain celibate? The whole meaning of the word celibate is abstaining from having sex. And as per the girl, the ML was very celibate.
There is only one meaning to that word in any context.
Cdrama writers can be very stupid and lazy in their writing, guess this was one of those stupid things.
I agree. I would have thrown the drama if it was 41-year old YG(I'm sure he would give up or do some sort of noble…
They were definitely adorable before but a 41 year old does not love like a 22. He had lot of baggage, felt awkward in the relationship due to age difference and social pressure.
With all the awkward reasons gone & being 22 year old, writers can make it as mushy and cute as they want.
Neither is the step mother.

ML is different to the ones you get in typical Cdramas, he is a rogue through and through & is not apologetic about it.
Chemistry between ML and FL is pretty good until now.
This was a perfect rom-com. It hit right spots for the genre. It being just 20 episodes helped a lot.

Still was taken aback when the ML was acting like he got shot when the shuttlecock hit him.
She was dumped and it does not have any impact on the story? Does that even make sense?
What exactly did her getting dumped achieve? except make the FL stupid and pathetic.
ML was getting hit by shuttlecock and he is acting as if he is being shot with bullets.
