Typical Cdrama,

FL who is stupider than a retarded monkey,
ML who is smart and capable, meets the FL, becomes stupid for few episodes.

2ML who brazenly and openly takes advantage of the Stupid FL and ML for most of the drama was the best character of the drama. he was loathsome and very brazen about what he wanted and made no bones of it.

The story had lot of potential but the Fl..ahhh, what were the writers thinking making FL so dumb and unlikable.
Drama though had some great supporting characters.
ML's female friend was one of the best 2FL I have seen. She would have made a better partner to the ML than the retarded monkey.
Loved the feisty maid of FL.
ML's friends were really great, all of them. His character sure knows how to make great friends.
the 3ML character made great progress through out the story. Sadly his love story did not get the closure it needed.

Nothing great about the drama but can pass time watching it without getting bored.
Leave the brain behind though, else, you would be wondering how the FL survived so long by being that dumb.

FL is a retarded money & that's putting it lightly.
ML was pretty good until he fell in love with the retarded monkey.

I doubt Cdrama writers think before they write FL like these, may be she was supposed to come off as strong but that's not what happens in most dramas.

FL is dumb, no self awareness, no situational awareness, no self preservation & for one her age she was not aware of what it means when a guy repeatedly fondles her for the whole length of the drama.
One of the most hilarious scenes in the drama was when the FL would try to sit & the 2ML would grab her by her shoulders and "help" her sit. Yeah, the dude was totally scoring on the girl and the dumb was letting it happen.

There is an actual relationship established between ML and FL,
Even after that the FL and 2ML get together.

If the ML and FL got married, then FL and 2ML have a relationship, would that be incest or not?

There is an established relationship between FL and ML, when she decided to run away with 2ML.

If a man were to date a girl & also the girl's mother, would it be alright since there is no relationship between the man and both the women?

Cdramas tend to have a girl having intimate moments between FL and group of brothers, one of them being ML.
It is intentional because it probably sells to the core viewers. I have seen dozens of Cdramas where the FL is made to be intimate with brothers.
I have been watching Cdramas for few months but have never come across a drama where ML dates Fl and her sister or have intimate moments with FL and her sisters or friends etc etc - Not one drama in dozens I have watched has this angle & the writers don't have it because it does not sell to the viewers watching the drama.

Just because something sells to viewers does not mean that needs to be put in a drama & it needs to be called out because it is an extremely shitty angle, perverted and disturbing.

Dang, I must have missed the part where being brothers means they are related.

Ep 24 was very good, finally much needed character growth for the FL.
She at last stands up to her perverted friend, does and says what's needed.

The same thing ML has done with his Childhood female friend by setting clear boundaries.
She could have given the same message ML gave his mother when she objected him being with the FL.

FL could have shouted at the 2ML for touching her & for being near her inappropriately.
She could have told her father to have any match he desires but she will only be with ML irrespective of it. At that point it has nothing to do with respect or love for father. It was a moment for her to show herself be to a strong & independent women.

Instead all we get a is a couple of dogs in heat fighting for the girl. Any girl should feel extremely insulted at that point that the men in her life has no regard for her opinion. It was her moment to shine and she blew it by a long shot.

When the 2ML came to her office, she could have clearly told him to get lost since she knows why he is there and that she is uncomfortable with him.
In fact, she could have done a dozen things differently.
At that point she clearly knows what he is after, he is making no bones of it, he does not care for their their friendship and is out to destroy her love life.

One has to be extremely stupid to allow things come to a distance where a man has no fear of rubbing himself against her behind & she does not utter a word when he does it. Even after that happened, she allows 2ML to stay in her office and he again makes uncomfortable passes at her and again she does nothing.

It's not like she does know,
She clearly knows what she is doing is wrong since she advises her boyfriend to stay away from other girls.
She does not need to do anything except take her own advise.

What happened to you is not remotely similar to what happened in the drama or what I am discussing.

Unless the girl left your brother and eloped with you for a fling (sorry for saying that) and got back with your brother later on.

Yes, unfortunate situations arise in RL, how we deal with them shows the mature, You were very mature in how you handled it and not elope with the girl (again sorry for saying it)
The directors of this drama wen with a different take that crapped the drama.

The older brother definitely did get played.

All these sociological and anthropological studies are good for class room teaching.
When the girl is getting it on with the brother of her lover, I bet the last thing that comes to the guys mind is 'A study in Sociological behavior of brothers getting it on with a girl'.

Or, let us say if the guy is getting it on with his partner's sister, would we still talk about how the girls can decide for themselves or treat the guy like shit for playing for sisters?

Wait, let me ask you this?

if a guy runs away with mother of his girlfriend and has a fling and get's back to his girlfriend - would you still stick to your words of letting the girls decide for themselves?

Just when you think Fl could not get any more dumber and crappier, ep 21 happens.

For a drama that wants to project a strong FL, episode 21 just makes the FL like a pushover and frankly revolting.

FFS, why would she even let two guys fight to win her hand? Would any self respecting woman want blokes fighting for her and winner getting her? Doesn't her opinion and feelings matter? A strong woman at that point would not have let the fight happen.

Now comes the disturbing and disgusting part.
In previous episode she wants her boy friend not to even meet other women, aiming at ML childhood female friend.
In this episode her own male friend, who confessed to her, put her in awkward position repeatedly, now comes into her work place and rubs himself against her back. Stays in her office, stares at her.
For some one who does not want her boyfriend to be with other woman, this was a massive let down. She does not stop him or asks him to behave or take her own suggestion to her boyfriend and tell her own friend to Fkoff.
She does none of that and I don't blame the 2ML at this point. He has been grabbing, touching, fondling this girl for a long time with out her objecting to it. Why would he have to stop now?

no strong woman with an ounce of dignity and self respect would ever allow a guy do that to her and not take strong action.

Not sure there is anything redeemable about the FL at this point.

WOW about the ML, I almost expected him to give his girl a pack of condoms for use when she is alone with 2ML next time.
Instead of confronting her disgusting behavior and double standards, he keeps enabling her.
Well, that's typical Cdrama ML, complete cuckold, devoid of self respect and no backbone to speak off.

Pity that the ML was the one of better characters in the drama before he fell in love and turned into an idiot like the FL.

Tomato, Tamato. Too many complicated names for a simple case of a girl playing with both brothers & it is definitely the case here. At least that's what the director of the show want's us to believe.

Episode 20, the 2ML is still continues to make the FL look like a retarded monkey.

It was hilariously tragic watching ML being apologetic towards FL for meeting his female friend, while the FL has no issues going on trips into forest alone with the 2ML and continue to meet him even after his confession.

At this point the ML is a complete cuckold and will simp the FL no matter what.

That's typical Cdrama plot.

the FL will be crying over other guys in front of the ML. The ML even though he himself is hurting because he loves the FL, will be helping her.

Most Cdramas don't give it a crap about ML feelings, just take this drama and analyze it from ML pov.
This guy must have been hurting just as badly as the FL but we never get a view of what he is thinking or his suffering.
The whole thing is about the FL and how the ML even though hurting(we are never aware because we are never shown his thinking) MUST take care of the FL and look after her.

Half of Cdramas has this plot where the girl is weeping over her crush/lover in front of the ML. May be this angle of a guy who is in love with the FL, sticking with her and helping her with her love failures and waiting dutifully like a puppy sells to the viewers.
But in terms of story line it neuters the character development of the ML.

When 2 brothers are dipping their fingers in the same pie & the pie is more than happy to get dipped knowing well these 2 are brothers, not sure what else to call it.

You are my Glory surprised me in a good way. FL is very smart and a sweetheart through out.
Sweet Tooth has good FL as well.

Wuxia's seem to fare better with smart & strong FL but Romcoms are a great disappointment when it comes to FL.

The FL in this drama looks to have great acting chops but they are wasted on such pathetic character she is portraying.

The drams is still pretty entertaining, nothing like a dumb FL to generate comedy.

Pretty sad story telling though.

in 9 out 10 romance Cdramas, it's the 2ML/Male Friend/"brother" that make the FL look like a retarded monkey.

And in contrast you have the ML who knows how to put the 2FL/female friends/"sisters" (or as we call them here as 'bitches') in their place quickly and without hesitation.

Where the ML comes across as smart and decisive in most Cdramas, the FL with the same situation comes across as played by males she trusted in her life - which turns her in a dumb retarded monkey for being oblivious to the most obvious thing happening to her.

Sorry but saying she is dumb is an insult to dumb people.

Just few examples
- She gets attacked, almost dies and fortunately saved. Guess what she does, goes alone at night to search for the guy who saved her. My mouth was open in disbelief watching it unfold.
- Her "friend" asks her to come to cave at night, to forests, to places, keeps touching, grabbing and fondling her - she does not realize why. I mean, you must be the dumbest tool in the box to not realize why a guy is doing that. After the 100th time he is touching you, it's not rocket science to realize what's happening.
- Her "friend" friend has a tattoo similar to the ones on the guys who tried to kill her. She never once tries to confront her "friend" with that fact. This guy is practically with her most of the time & yet FL does not for a single moment want to think what her "friend" is doing with her.
- Almost every dangerous situation she is in, it is self inflicted. Fact that she does not realize it after 100th time she gets into trouble is really out there.

The writer/director is probably going with strong girl story line but unfortunately they have turned the FL into worse than dumb.
A strong person is NOT one who rushes swinging sword but one who uses their brain. The FL until 18th episode has not used her brain even once.

Couple of episodes in and really loving this one.

A reminder to Cdrama Romcom/romance writers, watch Kdramas to make a decent one.

pretty entertaining, run of the mill Cdrama.

Story is the same as every other Romance Cdrama, which follows predictable below pattern.
- Fl is dumb.
- ML & other men fighting for the FL. looks like girls love it when guys fight for them
- FL will always have a "brother" or male friend, who has been in love with her since her birth.
- ML & other men semi nude, bathing, swimming etc, obviously for horny females.
- Romantic & intimate moments between FL & various men in the drama. 2ML, brother & her male friend will be grabbing the FL at every opportunity they get. The FL at this point is so dense that she does not realize these men keep grabbing, touching and fondling her with a smile on their face.
- ML will never have any romantic & intimate moments with any girl other than FL. he needs to stay pure both physically and mentally for only the FL. In some dramas the ML does not even look at other girls, let alone have interactions with them.
- Once the ML falls for the FL, he turns into a complete simp. His while world now revolves around the FL, he would have no life & thoughts outside the FL.
- 2FL will almost always be a colossal bitch. We can't have anyone liking her unlike the 2ML and other men around the FL who we can swoon over.
- misunderstandings and situations created where the ML & FL get separated & the FL is forced to be with other men before getting back to ML.

Most Cdramas follow the above formulae and this is one is same.
Pretty entertaining stuff though.

With Chinese Govt crackdown on entertainment industry, I doubt their dramas would ever be the same.

Only Gay is acceptable in Cdramas, lot of Chinese boys and girls go crazy over BL dramas it seems. Does not look like there are any takers amongst Chinese boys and girls for Lesbian dramas.
