Looks like incest is a very common theme in Cdramas.

Have had it Cdramas where brothers are lusting after their sisters and the poor sisters are unaware of the lust and happily be around their "brothers"

That just creeped me out.

dropping it, have seen this same drama few times this year

I saw that and that's even more disturbing. This is a grown man and he needs some girl to tell him he may like some one.
Liking some one one is like FL liking the other singer, you can see the sexual attraction.
That the ML who is in his 20's likes a girl and does not know it - unbelievable. It's like the author wants to believe his "liking" is pure and innocent like that of a 10 year old child.
When men are attracted to a girl or vice-versa, along with their heart, their body reacts.
The FL's in Cdramas have their heart and body react it - take this Cdrama as example.
The ML's in Cdramas have no visible reaction to their liking girls - take this Cdrama as example.

Take FL out of Cdramas and the ML is a Eunuch, absolutely boring.
Take ML out of Cdramas you get a FL is who wonderful, interesting and exciting to watch

I don't mind either
but seeing the same ML in each and every drama is tiring, especially with romance dramas.

If the main plot of the drama is action, Wuxia etc, simply don't care for the character development of leads except for the plot.

but for romance dramas, it's tiring seeing the same type of ML in each and every one of them.

Some of the other tropes are disturbing as well,

One period Cdrama, can't recall the name, both brothers fall in love, FL dates the ML, there are numerous physical interactions between them. She then leaves him, the brother of ML accompanies the FL and eventually they start dating.

For me that's a red line. It almost borders on incest. I have seen this trope played out in few other Cdramas and Kdramas, All brothers falling for FL and having intimacy with them.
Not sure if that is something normal in East Asian culture but thats disgusting and disturbing at certain leevel.
Yeah- 2 male friends falling for same girl is something you can enjoy.

I have not seen the reverse though, where sisters fall for the ML and the ML being intimate with both sisters.

I did not get that vibe. Even you are not sure if he liked her. It's like she was a friend who had been around him for long time & he was comfortable with her.
The FL liked the other singer & you can clearly see how lusty she was whenever she was near the guy.
the ML for all practical purpose was Eunuch.

It's not just this drama, all the Cdramas this year follow the same template for ML. It's disappointing. May be we should start calling the "male" leads in Cdramas with these characteristics as EL (Eunuch Leads)

some common characteristics of ML in most of Cdramas this year
- They don't find any girl except the FL as beautiful or attractive
- They don't hug/touch any girl except FL
- They don't make eye contact with any girl except FL
- They don't prefer to be alone with any girl except FL

I can go on but you get the picture,

It's basically the ML have had their testicles hidden inside their body and they drop down for first time in their life when they meet the FL.

All in all, the ML in Cdramas don't act like males, their character is more like a Eunuch.

The FL characters are more interesting and more fleshed out.

Yet another Cdrama where the male lead comes across as Eunuch if not for the FL.

This year Cdramas have been so disappointing. I get a sense Dejavu when I see the ML in Cdrama, it's like, hey, I have seen the ML in the 10 previous Cdramas I have watched.

As an example,

If some girl is hugging, touching, clinging and basically trying to steal another girls BF/Husband, it is ok, since this other girl loves the guy a lot?

ML is a control freak
FL is a cheat
SML is toxic.

nothing wrong with the confusion, thats how people are.

He was toxic and she knew it. There were certain situation which I mentioned above where she could have avoided and she did not, which leads to toxic idiot to misunderstand and think the FL is ok with him doing what he keeps doing.

And most of all it was unnecessary concern for the SML, she knew what the guy was after and why he keeps showing up near her. At that point the smart thing would be to get away from the guy.

Good points but still does not address the fact that it's ML that is desperate to hold on to his love and not the FL,

regarding SML and FL interactions, not all are because of invisible power.
It was her choice to meet him repeatedly alone,
it was her choice to sit next to him in class,
it was her choice to go the outing knowing SML would be there,
it was her choice not to slap him when he touches her or grabs her repeatedly,
whether he is drunk, cold or hungry, why is it her concern?

If one is desperate for love, they would be very careful in their actions. She knows ML would be hurt and yet she chooses to go to the outing knowing SML would be there.

She could have ignored the SML, but chooses not to. She would repeatedly interact with him and it has nothing to do with the thread.

I understand that it's a trope in drama to have 2 good looking guys drooling for a girl, more audience but the FL in some dramas come across as dumb or not really being in love with the ML, in these kind of scenarios.

Yes it was. If it weren't she wouldn't have asked for explanation when SML talks about or run from class when she sees the photo.
There are multiple reasons, jealousy and concern.

ML is desperate for his love.
don't see the same desperation from FL.

She finds SML alone so many times, approaches him multiple times even after she knows what he is after - tells how desperate she was about her love. If she was desperate for her love or even has respect for her love, she would have cut off the SML and not find reasons to approach, comfort etc etc with him.

Wait, the FL let SML hold hands, hug her repeatedly, touch her when ever he wanted, meet him alone multiple times, have few fluttering moments with him etc etc...

but ML does it to live, she cries, throws a tantrum and dumps him!

The duplicity is astounding, wondering what the FL would have done if ML allowed another girl to be near him as much the FL allowed the SML.

Today's episode reaffirms my point, she drinks with him, plays games with him, goes to him when drunk. Sits next him in uni etc etc
She might say 100 times that she does not like him and hides from him now and then but there are numerous times when she actions could have been more firm and direct, like the ML.

FL is absolutely stunning, most guys in the world would be lucky to have a pretty girl like her.
ML is not fat, in fact he is on the thin side. FFS, he is a man, should have more muscle on him, especially for some one who has been fighting for tens of thousands of years.

If that guy is considered fat, god help men of the world.

Just to correct - I am not saying he encouraged him by words but encouraged him by her actions. There are numerous situations where she could have stayed away from him but chose not to. Every time he got drunk, it was not her concern to go to him. There is rejection by words but her care/concern for him gives him a different picture.
This is where I was comparing how the ML handled similar situation in first episode from his co-worker.

Well, the girl is encouraging him by giving him attention multiple times. If she wanted him to stop there is a sure way to do it - like the ML does to his colleague in the first episode

Whats with Cdramas where any guy can grab hold of the females? Is that a common practice in China? It's disturbing to watch these scenes where guys keep grabbing the girl & they are not related or lovers.
I would expect a kick in the nuts by the girl if some one grabs her without her consent.
