I would have rooted for FL if the writers make both the ML and FL reflect what went wrong and both worked to make amends.

Alas, it looks like there is only ML that will be crawling and making amends.

There does not seem to any reflection from FL and with the memory loss and track of Kdramas where 'the FL is never wrong & the only one crawling is ML' formulae, it seems like FL will never reflect what she and her family did to ML.

The writers will use FL disease to ensure the ML crawls on every joint to make it up to a woman who does not deserve him.

FL comes across as stupid because of Kdrama writers wanting FL to be pawed at multiple men.
There seem to viewers who like the FL be sexualized by multiple men and it sells in Kdramas.

Unfortunately this kind of stupid writing causes chaos in FL's character.

FL is shown as introverted and smart. So, she should never be comfortable with the other guy but because the writers want to sell the drama, so they write these kind of scenes and the FL comes across as bit of trashy.

If the genders were reversed and ML was treating FL like that, we would be demanding ML crawl on his bum to make it up to the FL.

This drama is good because it does not completely sugarcoat what's happening to ML and FL.

These are Kdramas.
There is nothing like redemption for FL's. They are never wrong in the first place, no matter what.

I will bet anything it will be the ML doing all the begging and gestures.

That's a typical Kdrama FL trait.

They will let a lot of men touch and feel them.
This is very intentionally written into Kdramas. You would rarely see this where women are touchy feely with ML but a lot of times with FL the writers intentionally show FL doing this stuff. It looks this trope sells the drama more.

This trope is worse in Cdramas. A lot of Cdramas have married FL getting full body on body rubbing by the 2ML.

Agreed that it is hard to root for a ML who is pleased at the prospect of death of his wife.

That's the whole point of this drama putting him in between a family monsters & that includes the FL as well.

There is a Chinese drama 'Eternal Love', It has a role reversal where the FL was abused by her in laws but the ML does his best to protect her. Eventually it gets too much and the FL kills herself and goes back to being a goddess, abandoning her husband and child.
the ML in that drama goes to extraordinary lengths to protect the FL but fails. Eventually the drama makes his sit on knees for days as atonement for a something he did his best to prevent.

Now, this drama the genders are flipped, Unlike in 'Eternal Love', the FL does not take a single step or say a single word to protect her husband.

I am juxtaposing these dramas because lot of people support FL in 'Eternal Love' for abandoning a husband who showed her love and protected her, while in this drama the ML gets the bricks, while being in a situation with no escape.

It's realistic.

he is in an abusive relationship with the FL and her whole family, with zero means of escape. The only clean escape from the prison around him is the death of FL.

Imagine being in such horrendous situation and having nice thoughts about the abusers, it would not be real.

It's morbid thought that ML has. There have been many Kdramas with FL in similar situation with her husband and in laws and we all know whom we bat for in those dramas.

In Kdramas only FL's are allowed to have multiple men.
ML's need to be very very pure for the FL.

When I look at the 'male leads' in kdramas, there is remotely nothing that resembles a man in them.
