I was hoping that it could be an open ending and they add a season 2 🤭😅, but watching the trailer and everything, I think that the ending would be one similar to Till the End of the Moon

Okay, this could be wrong, but here it goes: Neo's character is Zhu Yan, who goes by the alias Zhao Yuanzhou, if you look at the characters section, you'd see that he also plays Long Ying Long, which idk what happens. Zhao Yuanzhou is a very powerful demon who has lived for tens of thousands of years, and possesses extraordinary power. His body acts as a "vessel" for malicious energy, and sometimes, he loses control over himself, letting the malicious energy take over and do some not very nice stuff, so idk, I don't think that his role died, as we can see in the trailer, he was talking about how he gets taken over, and sort of "wakes up" afterwards and regrets everything. The one who is good and wears white clothes and is close to them (if we're talking about the same person who is acted by Neo), is Zhao Yuanzhou, I think, he didn't exactly die, but he lost control over himself and he was asking Zhuo Yi Chen if he remembered his promise, which, if you watched episode 2 (I think it was episode 2), you'd know that the promise was, in exchange for Zhao Yuanzhou teaching Zhuo Yichen how to properly use his sword, Zhuo Yichen would kill Zhao Yuanzhou, releasing all the malicious energy, making sure that Zhao Yuanzhou can no longer lose control and kill people. In the trailer, Zhao Yuanzhou also said :"If I lose control again, you must kill me." If this theory is correct, then they were crying for him because they had already become close, like family, and they didn't want Zhao Yuanzhou to die, especially killed by his own friends. This could be wrong tho, hope it helps 💕💕

Omgg, yesss, we need vampire HMH, I feel like that would suit him soo muchh!! His roles are usually more laid back and not as mysterious and dark, but I feel like that would suit him sooo muchh!!!!

If you watch the trailer, you'd find that it does get A LOTT more angsty and serious, not sure if the ending is happy thoo...

The show itself is not meant to be bl, but there are some bromance scenes, and I can see why some people are gonna ship

ikr, HMH usually plays roles that are more relaxed and laid back, like Wangye and Baili Dongjun, this is the first time that I feel that he's played this sort of character. Though Zhao Yuanzhou is also pretty relaxed and "I don't give a damn", he also gives off a very mysterious and powerful aura, and idk really how to explain it but I agree that this role was definitely very different from all his other ones. I'm honestly soo happy that he's finally getting all the recognition he deserves, and I can't wait for all his other historical Chinese fiction dramas!!

From what I am gathering, Bai Ze is Wen Xiao's shifu Zhao Waner, and Wen Xiao is destined to be the next Bai Ze goddess. Could be wrong tho

I actually didn't know that, I just thought that it was because he liked making trouble, and also, Neo Hou's Chinese name "侯明昊", the first character "侯" is a homophone to the character "猴", which means monkey, and he's often referred to as "小猴"/"小侯", meaning little monkey, I thought that was like an interesting easter egg the script writers decided to add but your explanation makes a lot of sense as well, thank youu!

Omgg I'm soo happy to find someone like minded, I always find it soo interesting when they incorporate historical stuff into the dramas, especially Chinese mythology. The show is off to a great start, I'm soo happy it wasn't a disappointmentt!!

True, Chinese dramas do tend to have more episode than kdramas, it is a good idea to watch as they come out, especially when you're not too sure about it and end up hyping yourself up and waiting for so long just to find out that you don't like it. This way, at least you can drop it whenever you decide that you don't like it

Back From the Brink, it's Zhou Ye and Neo Hou's drama, it's actually quite nice if you want to watch it

It's sooo good, but I recommend that you wait a couple more days cus all the episodes end off on a cliffhanger and you'd have to wait for the next day for the other episodes to air. With that being said, I think that this is going to end up as one of my favourite dramas, the cinematography and editing are soo good, it looks very aesthetic and perfectly fits the "dream" part of the drama. The songs are also very nice and I love the plot and characters. Neo Hou's character Zhao Yuanzhou is my favourite, he gives off a very mysterious vibe that shows that there's definitely more to him than what meets the eye.

I know right, he just has such a regal aura, and an "I don't care/give a damn" attitude but at the same time, if you dare hurt his friends, he will personally murder you. That one scene in episode 2 where he was like "You want to attack my friends without my permission?" was one of my favourites, I just love how while he looks laid back and relaxed, he actually cares a lot about the people he values and actually has a lot of responsibilities. He's just also soo cool and funny, like I can't really exactly pinpoint it, but I honestly just love him soo muchh

I don't think that he's exactly suicidal, but it did say somewhere in the first few episodes and trailer that he loses control over his powers sometimes and that he wants to kill himself for the better of the world, (or maybe he just got sick of living for so long). He himself knows about this and you can see in the small part of episode 4 that Zhao Yuanzhou sees himself as a monster and holds a sort of self loath/hatred?? It absolutely broke my heart in episode 2, the part where Wen Xiao was saying how when Zhu Yan/Zhao Yuanzhou was born, the world was thrown into chaos and how Zhao Yuanzhou didn't seem like such a selfless person to want to save others, Zhao Yuanzhou genuinely seemed so sad (even though they did make it comical, I feel that this is heavily implied), that in the eyes of others, he could only be a merciless monster, while unbeknownst to them, Zhao Yuanzhou was ready to sacrifice himself to save others.

I think Neo's voice is his own, however I'm not so sure about Chen Duling, her voice does sound a bit different, but idk, I haven't watched a lot of her dramas so I can't say for sure

This drama is soo interesting, I'm glad that it lived up to all its hype. MJTY and BFTB mini reunion!!! I also love how everything can be so funny and humorous in 1 second then all serious stuff the next! Love Bai Jiu and Zhao Yuanzhou, they always make me laugh soo muchh. The ending song is soo funny and wholesome, like in canon, literally everyone's dying and there's so much angst, then the outro ost is just a wholesome song and dance, which I gotta say, is definitely necessary as I can see that it's going to get very angsty real soon... Unfortunately, I don't have any VIP so I was only able to watch until episode 3, which like all episodes, ended on a cliffhanger, and honestly, the directors know what they're doing cus I'm soo intruiged rn... Kinda worried for the group tbh, I know from the trailer that a lot of people die and apparently Zhao Yuanzhou loses his powers sometimes which caused A LOT of deaths in the group... Also that Li Lun guy apparently opened like a portal or smth, so really worried for the group rn... Crossing my fingers that it's a happy ending cus idk if I'll be able to survive if it wasn'tt!!!
