This was such a nice addition for the show, it really shows what Zhao Yuanzhou was thinking through out this entire series, giving us ideas on what's to come and telling us a bit about the story through Zhao Yuanzhou's view, as well as the type of person Zhao Yuanzhou is himself. 😭💕

I agree, considering everything, he doesn't seem to be that type of person, which leads me to wonder what really happened 8 years ago to Xiao Zhuo's family, and what happened in episode 5 about Zhu Yan trying to kill Wen Xiao

That's sooo true, like every single ending ends on a cliffhanger (and they always make it look like things aren't going well for the group so then I get worried), and then that song comes up with the funny dance

You're welcome!! I know the trailer does seem pretty confusing and I think that we only get to see some parts of it nearing the middle/end bits of the show. The story is really interesting, there's a lot of mystery and unexpectedly, A LOT of comedy, which, considering the trailer, I thought that this was going to be very angsty throughout, but I guess it's one of those that get progressively more angsty towards the ending. There are a lot of really nice osts and just saying, when you watch it, do not skip the end credits, I promise you won't regret it!! The cinematography is one of the best parts, and the fight scenes are also really good. The outfits are sooo pretty and I honestly love Zhao Yuanzhou and Bai Jiu sooo muchh. There's a lot of dramas airing rn, so I agree, take your time and then you can watch it if you want (omg, then you'd also get to skip the wait, which is annoyyinggg). 💕😁

There's no novel, but based on the first few episodes and trailer, I can give some spoilers. So basically, there was this goddess called the Bai Ze goddess, whose main responsibility is to ensure the peace between the mortal and demonic realm, but then she got killed and the Bai Ze Order went missing, leading many powerful demons to break free and cause chaos in the human realm. Then there is this very powerful demon by the name of Zhu Yan, who is the leader of all demons. He decided to join forces the Demon-Hunting Bureau to solve mysteries and find the Bai Ze Order, bringing peace back to the Demon World, which is on the brink of collapse (this was what he said, but idk, he might have ulterior motives). Zhu Yan, under the alias Zhao Yuanzhou and the rest of the Demon-Hunting Bureau solve many cases, and along the way, they become friends. They began to grow close, which start to make things difficult when they had to make a choice between saving everyone else by killing their friend Zhao Yuanzhou, or let the world plunge into chaos. In episode 2, Zhuo Yi Chen (one of the members in the group) and Zhao Yuanzhou made a deal, stating that Zhao Yuanzhou would teach Zhuo Yichen the proper way of using his sword, and in return, Zhuo Yichen would kill him. Zhao Yuanzhou feeds of malicious energy, and his body also acts as a sort of "vessel" storing all the malicious energy, and from what I understand, he loses control over himself sometimes and allows the malicious energy to take over, forcing him to do things that he didn't want to and would end up regretting. H wants Zhuo Yichen to kill him and dispel all the malicious energy, ensuring that it would be gone forever. That's all for now, a lot of the things are shown in the trailer so I suggest you watch it, as I don't really know how to put it into words, and some of these are speculations, so they might not be correct. I'll spoil more when I've watched more episodes, hope this helps for now💕💕

That is true tho, and it makes sense when you watch the trailer, I think they were dropping hints about it being a dream, saying thing like, " Some demons can trap you in a dream and scare you to death" and "No matter how bad the dream, eventually you'll wake up"

Yeah, a lot of these dramas start out really funny and unserious, but as it progresses, it getss more and more angsty, until everyone dies

OMGGG yesss, if they every make QJJ, they have to include Hou Minghao!! Unfortunately, the entire bl ban and everything I don't think that this will ever happen, even if it does, there's little chance that Hou Minghao would be given the role 😭😣

True, I'd rather have an ending that's impactful than a happy ending but everything's underwhelming and feels forced

Honestly yeah, some of them do seem pretty baseless, idk, but a lot could've happened, I do find it pretty annoying sometimes when they do stuff like this tho, I agree, maybe they're just lying to us and trying to over hype up the show

Guyss, just wanna say, it's really not looking good so far. Literally everyone on Chinese media was saying that the entire group died and that Zhao Yuanzhou died in Wen Xiao's arms 😭🙈, I swear, every time I find a nice drama with an intriguing storyline that I actually like, it turns out to be a bad ending😭😭, hopefully it doesn't turn out to be true thoo, maybe it will all be somehow explained and everyone lives happily ever after, THE ENDD, or even better, they release a season 2 😁

Yeah, I always find it more meaningful when there's real historical aspects a part of the drama, in this context, the demons taken from the book. I am also a hugee fan of Chinese mythology!

It's only the first day, and it would get higher from now, Fangs of Fortune has been very popular and highly anticipated on Chinese media, so I expect it to break 10 000, or at least get pretty close to breaking it

Chen Duling's characters are usually the more "weak" and "I can't survive, so lemme go find a man to save me" type of characters, and I must say, I am honestly soo happy that this one was different. Wen Xiao seems like a a pretty strong individual and doesn't always rely on others, she's also not one of those that's always looking for love and acting as if a gust of wind can blow her away. I am honestly soo glad that Wen Xiao was different, she obviously has her own weaknesses and problems, but she's also not the lovesick, weak maiden in need of a prince to save her. She can protect herself and has a kind heart, which I really like
