That was one heck of a rushed ending... I wish they took more time to explore the main couple's romantic development and their families' reaction to them. Otherwise, up until the last few episodes it was a fantastic drama. They could have gone a different route for Shiyi with his unique personality and interesting dynamic with Xiaoju. His presence should have increased but it dwindled. Last episodes he was out of character. It's like the writers changed... In the end they threw the characters into typical mediocre tropes and called it a day. SY XJ earlier scenes were too cute and I thought they'd have a cute transition from friendship. The best thing about this drama is the characters and acting was good too.

I think she definitely should have stopped their meetings much earlier, but he has more responsibility to not give her false hope. He visited her again after she broke off. Usually people in love like her cross the line, but she didn't, so she's not AS bad, but she's naive for not cutting him off when he married and became a dad.

Possibly the most women-empowering jdorama or jmovie for that matter. A refreshing nonconformist from the usual submissive women crap, so points from me just for that. Had me hooked from the start with the artsy, interesting characters and relatable stories. The art and style made a feast for the eyes. Loved the friendships. The men were likable characters though it was the women's moment to shine. Limi's empowering personality was almost too perfect, though inspiring to anyone for sure. At it's core is a message to follow your heart and be you. Deserves higher ratings compared to some of the things that get rated high on here lol. 10/10 would rewatch.
The musical bits were boring omg. Could have been cuter and actually fun, not sure if the actors shone in the roles except for Sakamoto, not enough interactions between the main characters. Overall feels like a slightly wasted opportunity unfortunately. Love the cosplays and idea of following your passion though. The fujoshi/otaku ramblings were most entertaining.
