I really think this was all a plan to prepare jian as an heir
yeah jinman's always putting her to the test and ep 5 there's no way he fell for that lame setup, plus there's some stuff that brother guy said. highly likely that JM saw through everything and made use of the opportunity to test and train jian
EXACTLY! You said it perfectly! I fell like they made it seem like she will get justice for herself just to lure…
Even this poster above makes people have those expectations like you said. I also watched thinking there'll be such a moment, but nothing like that ever happened
"Even if JN turs out to be not exclusively GL" what do you mean? Have the creators said something?
I'm just referring to people's comments. While some hope it will have GL content, others are doubtful, so I said in that context. Ofc I hope it will have gl & stay true to the manhwa
Taeri looks amazing with short hair and Eunchae being called prince on set lool I knew she'd be Ok Gyeong and slay so hard <3 I wonder if the others are also who I thought they'd be like Lael being Buyong. I think this drama will make waves and hopefully inspire more GL kdramas to be made. Even if JN turs out to be not exclusively GL I hope it ends up inspiring more GL. And really wish it'll be on Netflix
Looked promising at the start but sucked towards the end. What was the point they were trying to make? That cheaters stay powerful and victims are obliged to forgive quickly? A story like this ought to give the message that adultery/cheating is never okay by showing the cheaters getting their asses kicked and suffering serious consequences, and the victim becoming more and more empowered. But here they whitewashed the cheaters and gave them happy endings where they both became more powerful in their careers, when it should have been the opposite. Meanwhile the victims, the FL & her kids, got unsatisfying endings, they weren't thriving in every way, which should've been the case since that will give hope to viewers who have similar circumstances in life. In the beginning FL was being controlled by the cheaters, and by the end the scales should have tipped, but that didn't happen and she continued to be the recipient of their selfish demands. And one of FL's grievances was that she had never been loved & cherished by a man in her life, therefore it's necessary for her ending to show that being fulfilled with her being treated right by 2nd ML or another guy, she doesn't need to be dating him but it should be shown. Her ex, the ML was the cause of all the problems, so he should be given proper retribution for his poor choices, but he didn't suffer as much and instead he continued to reign over everyone as the patriarchal authority figure, as usual. Overall I guess this drama is unsatisfying because the characters didn't change much inside, the story makes you expect character arcs and some ass kicking but nah didn't happen, and it's a waste of potential 'cause it had all the materials to be so much better.
I really like this ML and their past nerdy selves just chilling on the grass and taking care of the kitten is too cute! That backstory could be an entire drama and i'd love it lol
the sets are beautiful and the cast are all fine actors, but the story-telling doesn't hook you in, doesn't make you wanna care about the story or the characters
maybe it's not engaging enough because the problem doesn't feel personal enough, if they showed from the start how the bad stuff were more personally related to the main characters, it would've been more interesting idk
