Well I did not cry, to me it wasn't an ending by any means. It was an unfinished story. If there is a second season with different cast members, there'd be no point in watching. To me that would be like replacing Daniel Radcliffe and Emma Watson in Harry Potter. The characters and the actors became one and the same, and anybody else in the role would to me be another drama.

Yuwen Yue and Xing'er's love story is everything you want love to be. Tears in my eyes from today's episode.

I am about to rip my heart out waiting for Xing'er to finally finally finally return to Yuwen Yue and fight…
Well, just my opinion but I think she meant to be stoic. I mean she was trying to push Yuwen Yue away, and she said it herself -- she can't afford to act willfully and do whatever she felt like. So I'm sure she clenched her fist to control herself from doing so, but the very fact that she didn't push him away and did the who "let me go" routine (which she always did before) tells me she was totally willing. Plus she was so torn up about it she sat there thinking about that kiss all night hahaha

Yeah, but Yuwen Yue is even more frustrated. When he asked her "I need you too. Can you feel it?" I was like I CAN! I CAN FEEEEL IT. hahahahaha

did he just say "someone wants to kill my girl?"> :-) (screaming)
HAHA I was dying there too. Like it was a serious talk but I felt like Yuwen Yue was thinking "HEHE she just called Xing'er 'my girl.' HEHE she's MY GIRL. *pinches self*"

I am about to rip my heart out waiting for Xing'er to finally finally finally return to Yuwen Yue and fight alongside him. May the betrayal in the upcoming war be the last straw, because personally I thought past events were enough for her to realize Yan Xun only fights for himself.

Well she took a poisonous needle to the arm for him, left him a loaded note strapped to a tree, and they took in this orphaned boy so they had this simulated family scenario which was adorable.

Melted into a puddle of liquified squealing. Actions really do speak louder than words because though neither say it, Yuwen Yue and Xing'er have been shouting ILOVEYOUSOMUCH with all the poison needles they take for each other. The fact that Yuwen Yue finds her no matter where she goes, and the adorable "this could be our life" scene with Mo'er in bed together -- I can't even. Hahaha While it was short, that window of time just having each other and relying on each other is probably the happiest I've seen the two (probably the best time in Yuwen Yue's life lol).

Yuwen Yue and Xing'er giving me so much life today. I kinda love that she is Chu Qiao to everyone, but only Yuwen Yue calls her Xing'er -- it's like her pet name. They are dynamite on screen together!

O M G I am in tears after seeing the preview for tomorrow's episode. Finally, it is time for Xing'er to come to her senses and fight alongside Yuwen Yue. I sincerely hope that the Xiuli army pull through! I have really grown to love the care and concern the commander and soldiers have for each other. I draw the line in giving YanXun leeway to be ruthless at him betraying his own citizens of Yanbei who helped him escape. I really hope the Commander of the Xiuli army survives to see that Xing'er hasn't abandoned them.

YES! And I love how Yuwen Yue is playing up the fact that he taught her gong fu, so he's confident that she won't hurt him and still somewhat cares for him. My heart got all tight when she served as his maid for the day, and he looked like he had such a hard time letting her go!

Totally agree with you! Their scenes have always been amusing and playful since the beginning, but the recent episodes have really been squeal worthy! I also love their action scenes together, it's always like a dance, they just make each other better. While Yuwen Yue is always a knight in shining armor, I really love how Xing'er is no damsel in distress. They have great romantic chemistry, and wonderful camaraderie on the battle field.

I haven't watched the first episode, but The Bride of the Water God is one of my all time favorite manhuas.…
Yep the manhwa is historical fantasy and really takes place more in a mystical world rather than on Earth. I'm thinking maybe the characters and background is inspired by the manhwa but I really wouldn't have put this under the "manga" genre. It's more like the writer's fan fiction really.

I haven't watched the first episode, but The Bride of the Water God is one of my all time favorite manhuas. Is this an adaptation or a "loose based on the manhua" story like Liar and His Lover was? The synopsis looks like it is the manhua, but judging by the trailer and the comments, it isn't? Can someone clarify this before I go in and feel all the feelings because of my expectations?

Title The Liar and His Lover Spoiler
It's episode after episode of people ganging up on K, projecting their self-centeredness on K, and misunderstanding him. When the guy does catch a break, they can't even let it last 1 episode. The problems are just piling up and we're half way through the drama with almost 0 turning points. Only K and Mr. Choi's (as cruel as his methods are) actions keep the drama moving. Can't remember a time the other characters acted in interest of something other than themselves, and so we're going around in circles. Just one of many examples is the way So Rim rejects singing his song but doesn't want him to write for someone else. I actually liked the way Yoo Na broke the news to her, as the song rejected by them landing on her lap. But of course, So Rim cries and makes it look like it's K's fault. It's not even that Mr. Choi took it out of the running, because she herself personally refused him (she didn't even have to debut with it). In the preview, when Yoo Na calls her selfish I couldn't believe how much I was agreeing with her. Is So Rim even worth the stress at this point?

If Chan Yeong REALLY had Mush & Co.'s best interest at heart and not his "I need a way out of Crude Play/I want to get the girl" agenda, he'd let them debut with K's song. Let's call a spade a spade.

He's a base prodigy, his character flaw is that he covets someone else's talent (i.e. producing/song writing).

<Love the drama, just have strong feelings (abt Han Kyeol hehe)> Chan Yeong was butting in on their personal lives, and it drove me mad. The shallow trust issues, like girl he sang a song (that hasn't even come out yet) for you, risking you foiling the debut, which you almost did numerous times. LOL, she's pissed because he wrote a song about another girl. She met him WHILE he was writing the song, and she expects it to be about her or something. She's a musician, she's supposed to get these things. Also their attitude towards Han Kyeol during practice was... Our breakthrough moment came so late into the ep. I was more angry than happy. This whole issue was concocted just so that Chan Yeong can have an opening with So Rim. I don't understand why he deserves a chance, when his character has been built up to be SO SLIMY (to be clear, it's not the actor's fault, just doing his job). I would appreciate his character more as a rival producer than a love interest. CONCLUSION: Jealousy is so ugly, esp. when a drama revolves around it.
