I would be enjoying this drama much more if it weren't for the annoying af sister in law like ughhhhh!!!!! btw will they keep up with releasing one episode per week because if we have to keep watching for a full year...💀
The first time they started dancing I thought it was cute and quirky... the next like ten times gave me secondhand embarrassment lol. Wouldn't recommend watching it unless you're a fan of the actors. Just do yourselves a favor and read the manga or watch the anime.
I used to love watching this show but I think the producers have run out of ideas and I'm getting a bit tired of some of the "characters", but I wouldn't mind watching another variety show with this cast.
The first couple of episodes were pretty solid but towards the end it dragged on and on and it was very unnecessary. Oh and please I need 1) more of Yokohama Ryusei wearing a kimono 2) to try those sweets because they looked amazing.
I loved this drama so much I binged it in a day! The age gap romance would normally turn me off but I liked it? (or maybe it's the yokohama ryusei effect lol) Still, it's not a big part of the story. I feel like overall I empathized with Junko's struggles, minus the 3 hot guys, and I was rooting so hard for Yuri to get into uni. Also the side characters were interesting too.
I quite enjoyed this drama, although that ending was necessary but it wasn't the one that I wanted :/ Oh and Sayonara Elegy by Masaki Suda is a fantastic song.
I didn't even finish TKEM and still thought I had wasted my time lol. I agree with the lessons you listed, but in my opinion, if you start skipping scenes from the beginning because you don't like the tropes or find the story boring, it would be better to just drop the drama.
Nice article! I get why voice dubbing can be necessary in the c-drama industry, but for me it can be frustrating sometimes. Like maybe the voice doesn't quite suit the face, or I'm sure I've heard it before but I can't remember where.
