Pegasus Market in a Secret Forest
On The Auditors Jul 8, 2024
Title The Auditors
Initially started watching because I thought this will be comedy, but 2 episodes in, things are just getting more serious instead. (It's their teaser videos of Shin Ha-kyun being comedic and swoony that made me have that kind of expectation. It's his fault lol)

While I'm disappointed it's not comedy, I'm still watching since seeing chemistry between Shin Ha-kyun, Jin Goo and Jung Moon-sung is just so good. I also like how you can't still tell who's good and who's bad among the lead characters (especially Jin Goo and Jung Moon-sung). So far, it keeps me engage with the drama.

Very loosely, perhaps. Wasn't Mike Ross a prodigy hotshot in suits? Really can't say the same a Han Su. Maybe…
Yes, you're remembering correctly.

Title The Auditors Spoiler
I just thought Seo Jin and VP was something acquaintance or childhood friend based on the synopsis, but that relationship…
Same. I even questioned if Jin Goo is already THAT old to have a daughter in her 20's.

Person Ariel Lin
I just found out that Jerry Yan and Ariel were supposed to lead in a drama called Skip Beat. This was in 2009.…
Is this the same Tawainese drama "Skip Beat" where Ivy Chen and Siwon of Super Junior both starred in and aired by 2011?

Thinking of starting this drama. Does it have any romance like in Gaus Electronics? Or just pure thrill and comedy?
It has similar vibes with Gaus Electronics but if you want romance, there's none as far as I remember.

Really like Geum Sae-rok and Steve Noh's chemistry here. Too bad the story went downhill.
On Second to Last Love Nov 27, 2023
Watched this kdrama without any expectations, aside from that it's a romcom that got Kim Hee Ae and Ji Jin Hee in it (which is a pleasant surprise for me since I got to know them first thru their recent makjang dramas 🫣) and I enjoyed watching it. Not as bad as others make it to be tbh. Really nice to see middle-aged people still getting confused with complications of love and life. Also this drama felt like a fresh air for me, since it's pretty uncommon in kdrama to see people in their 40s doing romcom.

Wait... what?! This will end Jan 11, 2024. Does this mean it is only ONE episode per week?
Yes, unfortunately. Variety shows in Korea are usually like that, 1 episode per week.

Unfortunately a trailer that reveals too much. Considering that it's just 12 episodes it seems that too much about…
I do get this since even though it's been 3 years since I last watched the original, I immediately picked up all the scenes in the trailer and knew exactly what's happening.

I’m guessing not a happy ending? If I want spoilers, then let me have them! I don’t care what comments say…
Ending depends on how you perceive it. Also, we aren't even sure if they're keeping the same story with the original to know. One thing's for sure thou, the Taiwanese version is a masterpiece.

Title A Time Called You Spoiler
In the og drama, Wang Quan Sheng aka the ml kissed a guy, then does that mean Ahn Hyo Seop will too?
I'll be surprised if they did it tbh. But kissing or no kissing, hope they keep the characters' essence intact.

So now when its done, is it a must watch or skippable?
I would say it depends if you appreciate slice of life dramas in general because this drama has some of that vibes going.

This kinda reminds me of One dollar lawyer... NGM was also miserable because of his drama girlfriend
Which is interesting since this drama was initially offered to Namgoong Min but had to decline latter because he's already doing One Dollar Lawyer.

Title Us and Them Spoiler
It's the latter.
I forgot about the earphones thing, but yes, I agree that the ML hesistated because he know he can't ask her to stay at that point since he has nothing to offer. :(

I remember reading somewhere here about their mental state in their relationship and I think it perfectly sums the story up. The ML is more focused on the future. He looks forward to providing everything to FL (and his father); which is why when he became successful, he wants to get back with FL. The FL, on the other hand, is more focused on the present. I think she doesn't really care about whether the guy became successful or not, as long as she's loved and cared by him, which he failed to do later in their relationship.

Oh well. I personally think they could have talk it out but, I guess their love for each other aren't that strong enough after all (ML marrying another girl when he was rejected by FL and FL insisting on not meeting her ex again).

It's the latter.
Sorry, I just noticed your reply now. Anyway,

Rather than thinking if whether what the FL did was right or wrong, I do get why she did that. The ML at that point is kinda unresponsive/absent-minded; like he was so swallowed by his sorrow and frustration about his career that he forgot he has a relationship to maintain. He just kept on playing games on his computer, most likely to help him forget the real world. You could notice it when the FL tells him she was leaving him and it took him a while before realizing it was real. Also, when he found her at the train station, he didn't even try to grab her or ride on the train with her.

About the game, while yes, it took time to create it, the ML didn't start programming/creating the whole game until after the FL left. The whole concept of the game was based on him finding and wanting to apologize to her. Before that, all he had was ideas about the characters.
