I thought the cannon issue was hilarious. Think about it if those cannons went off the whole building would go…
Yes it was! Hahaha it’s just that for construction projects in Asian countries, most of the time architects/design teams follow unspoken rules regarding feng shui etc. so i just find this plot a bit silly 😂
Since when does design revision become a cost engineer job??? Some of the issues are laughable really. How come they drag ep 18-19 just because of cannons/ fengshui issues? In real life these stuff would be addressed early in the design concept by the architects, NOT cost/civil engineers. Lol
Currently at ep 16 - have to drop a comment here! This show is greaaaat! It's more of a slice-of-life genre, with slow-burn romance. Very relatable characters and realistic storyline. Some of you might find the business politics and details boring or confusing, though. The first 4 eps might be tough, as there are a LOT of names, faces, and their respective positions introduced. All of the actors/actresses are doing amazing, including the supporting characters. Cast and acted very, very, good. So far the plot is well written, intricate yet true to life. The engineering aspects are okay, not exactly accurate but at least the writers try - I guess? (I used to work in this field). Rather than a 'profession' drama, I'd say it dwells on the company politics more. My current fave C-series, hope it will stay great till the end.
Ok story is draggyyyyy with heaps of unnecessary twists. But the characters were charming and endearing. (Except YiXin sorry). I love every casts performance here. And tbh i used to avoid Hans Zhang dramas, but after watching him here, I think I will check out his other works. Loving cheeky Jing Chao as well. Great acting as usual
A more mature actor perhaps will suit Bai Jue, but will not suit Qing Mu. Moreover, true god kind of eternal here.…
I agree on the Qingmu part! But still feel that BaiJue would be better acted by a more mature looking actor OR even Xukai (with the help of makeup etc) just to emphasize the age gap between BaiJue and Shanggu.
I personally disagree. Bai Jue's character is pretty stoic at the beginning because his character was written…

I kept comparing Bai Jue and Shang Gu with ‘Love and Destiny’’s Jiu Chen and Ling Xi. The thing is, i love both couple but I felt like Xu Kai’s too young to be casted as Bai Jue :( I wish they had casted a more mature looking actor to play the part. Tianqi, on the other hand, stole the show for me.
I think in all the dramas that I watched Johnny in, he always plays the same type of person. In a YouTube interview,…
Yes! He has the same 'cold/rough' character most of the time, and usually the roles are very suitable with his real life persona. But the thing is I find his expressions can still be improved - imo his angry/annoyed/loving/playful face is almost the same, like i can't really tell what emotion he is trying to convey based on his face/gesture alone if I wasnt reading the dialogue context. For Song Joong Ki, I've actually watched him played various types of characters (like in Triple/OBGYN - two of his earlier, less popular dramas) and I can safely say that his EYES conveys a lot more than Jhonny's in this aspect. I like them both, but i personally think that Jhonny's acting still have a room for improvement.
Oh Johnny... I wish his expressions would be better by now. Kept seeing the same faces over almost all his dramas. I feel like watching the same character goes through transmigration in several different dramas
Seems that the three adjectives are all negative, though reading it for me it seems quite neutral and truthful.…
Hi! Not completely negative, but just different from my personal preference :D For the westernized part - i feel like the plot/writing and dialogue for this drama caters more to western taste. it DOES have sprinkles of K-drama salt here and there but i dunno... can’t describe it eloquently but it’s just lacking the kicks i love in K-dramas.

The whole childhood lovebirds arch is solved realistically. Nice
