Just a bit of advice for those confused with the plot (and want to understand better) : read the episode recaps. I am a skipper (I fast forward on a lot of filler scenes) so reading the explanation on the recaps help me a lot. The writing style is indeed very..... jumpy(?) but I enjoy the casts so much I don't really mind it.
A pleasant surprise! This was fun to watch, despite the silliness. Siwon's acting has definitely improved, and the character suits him so no complain! (I love Super Junior but I avoided most of their dramas because some earlier ones were cringe af). The supporting casts did a great job too!
This went under my radar..... for a reason. Not recommended. I grappled with the ugly UGLY editing and production details. The CG left me speechless. A low quality series by Netflix :/
The first two eps didnt really hook me in, as some aspects are confusing for me (the god/doom/ supernatural stuff) or maybe are just lost in translation :) But I do like the plot and both the main casts (and hi there lee soo hyuk!), so I will continue watching and see where this goes hehe
Re-aired on cable TV; tried watching the first episode but gave up. All I can say from the first ep is that this drama is chaos. Like a messy, all over the place, over the top, super extra production. The camera work is very distracting - the frames keep changing every 2 seconds, making it hard to focus on the story/ characters on screen.
Excuse my rants. I love all the casts. but dang why would the writer torture us like this? From ep 7 onwards, Ma Zhaixing's brain cells seem to be disappearing fast. She kept getting dumber and more naive as the plot dragged on. Like her intelligence switch is on and off. And Darren Wang is hot- HOT but I wish to see more expression than half snarl and scowl. The ending, altho sad, fell flat for me. All in all, this felt like another 'Goodbye My Princess' for me, but one with a weaker plot and characters.
i wouldent call her ungrateful. she has made a lot of mistakes but its not ultimately her fault for started all…
I grew up with similar home situation and at 15 i think she should have handled the whole issue better (not that her mom’s lack of explanation is helping). Being determined to get into her dream school is great, trying to hold her feet and fight back against the injustice is great, but after the whole bullying and the humiliation she knew her mom endured and would keep enduring in order to keep her there? It really is not worth it. I just can’t get into her mind frame. She was naive alright, but after such big incidents in season 1 how come she didnt learn much? I amn not blaming the victim here, its just her character’s writing is too..... unbelievable ?
The rona hate is really getting old. Gentle reminded that she is a teenager and seem to have improved on her character…
I wouldnt say i hate her character, as she was pivotal for the plot to get going. Its just that it’s really hard for me to understand her. I grew up with a single mom to, and at 15 i think she should have handled the whole issue better (not that her mom’s lack of explanation is helping). Fighting to get into her dream school is great, but after the whole bullying and the humiliation she knew her mom endured in order to keep her there? It really is not worth it. Did you even finish watching the scene.... or maybe tried interpreting and reading in between the lines...? JSH…
I watched it raw last night, but i got most of the dialogues. But still it doesnt make sense (to me) that even after the whole arrest, OYH being brought to the police station for witness’ statemnet etc that still no one told her that her supposedly dead kid is alive and being kept hostage by JDT.
Honestly, this drama is so makjang and badly-written but addictive at the same time. Like a Skycastle cheap rip-off with extra drama.
I really Bae Rona’s character. She is such an ungrateful, trouble making brat who messes up everything. All those killings and deaths and mishaps wont be happening if only she didnt insist to get into CheongAh. Like girl, you have a struggling single mom supporting you but you just have to take the hard way, yeah? And the writer keeps on making her role worse. She was safe and supposedly living pleasantly in the US but she just had to go back to South Korea - against her mom’s wish- and seek trouble again. Imo she truly deserves the trophy jav to the skull #facepalm

The plot is all over the place and loopholes everywhere :(
