I want to kill myself for having slow wifi. Can't wait to see the lq episode tomorrow!!
aww..a bit more patience...I think raw will be posted somewhere by tomorrow morning. BTW, I don't have any of the patience that I talk about. For all the episodes before this one, I watched the low quality modulated voice video uploaded on youtube and then downloading the episode in the morning.
The tightness in my heart is relieved finally after so many agonizing weeks. It's like suddenly you feel blood rushing in your veins. I can happily appear for my exam now.
I am nervous too! Wondering how Hiriji get hold of Kuroiwa's diary... Kuroiwa better not be in an accident or…
Ahh...no I don't think anything like that would happen. That would be lame. But I think Hijiri again has an episode where she regrets acting on her feelings and decides to leave in the rain and Kuroiwa searches for her and finally finds her in some shade and both are like dripping wet and then they both completely give in to their feelings. She I believe says at that time that "I don't understand at all,how should I forget about you?" I am twice as happy just to see that she places her hands around his neck and then he cradles her face. I guess ep 9 will end like that and then in ep 10 they will face things together with complete acceptance and will to stay together. Probably my thinking is in overdrive right now!!! Euphoric feeling!
That was like the most perfect thing that could've happened. This director can really not do anything wrong. And all our wishes will be granted next week at least for one episode. Kamisama!!!!!!!
Link for stream https://mov3.co/en/tbs/ at 10 PM JST tonight :)
I am forever thankful to you!!! Watching it live was just awesome. Although I forgot that there would be so many commercials since it was live telecast ( something you are not used to because you don't watch TV anymore)
Sorry guys, I don't think I will be able to recap ep 7 :( . Japanese exam is up next weekend and it's killing me!!!! Unfortunately they won't be asking anything about Chugakusei nikki there ;P
Not sure if anyone watches yaoi/BL but the movie Doukyuusei is a must watch if you liked this drama! It's only…
Just this last week I watched the movie 'Ï want to eat your pancreas'. While the name is like this, it has a good reference and background to it. I loved that movie. The story was nothing new for the ones who are into japanese dramas and movies but it still cuts very deep. The cinematography was breathtaking, the handling of the story, the character design and their relationship was actually extremely complex and deep. Something that you can often not put in words but feel deeply about. You should give it a try. It manages to move your heart within a couple of hours.
Check out the screen writer's past work. She screenwrote Orange. XD
But Orange went like that even in the manga and the anime right?(I have watched the anime) Here, because the manga is not finished yet she totally has the liberty to decide the ending. I do think that she will conclude it properly and sensibly instead of going the melodramatic way just for the sake of it.
In my opinion, the best ending and the worst ending won't happen. The best ending- I don't think the writers will…
I said it's about acceptance because she needs to accept that it is fine to have feelings for Akira and that he is the only one for her.
I do admire her character in a lot of ways and agree that she is not ignorant or passive when the time really comes for her to take a decision. This was a point that I had made at the end of episode 5 in my earlier posts when someone commented that she was being passive and a damsel in distress which is far from the truth. Her character has been very reminiscent of the asian societies in general where you are brought up with stringent set of rules but as you grow up you obviously struggle with some rules because they go against your heart.
And there is a lot of emphasis on what everyone thinks of you and people start crumpling under that very pressure and go against their heart and regret it for their whole lives. Haraguchi made a very important point in the first couple of episodes and her perception of Hijiri's character was on point. That she desperately tries to fit into the societal norms and pretends to be ordinary, suppressing her desires which happens to be pretty lame. I was for once extremely happy that she acted on her feelings and eventually did the right thing of breaking up with Shoutaro.
Personally, it doesn't feel like a deadend now that Kuroiwa is 18; it did feel like that in episode 5 as if that was the only way to clear all the mess and she was literally left with no other options. She is deeply scared from those incidences till date and hence wouldn't want to act on her feelings. But like you said, it can definitely work out this time since he is 18 and he has a lot of capability of making it work out and she has the capability of overcoming these prejudices and becoming a good teacher. If only she can accept her feelings for Akira, make peace with them and allow herself to be happy instead of desperately forcing herself to date Nogami sensei. But anyways, she will come around is what I believe in. She is definitely not the lame heroine who can't think for herself. She will eventually run after Kuroiwa leaving everything behind...........because he is just the ultimate force to reckon with . :) :)
There is this anime which has been my long favourite - :Honey and Clover'. That anime was the best slice of life…
You might actually have a different opinion now if you see it. It's comic enough to balance out the emotional stuff. And probably it was a dubbed version on animax that you saw. Dubs are hopeless...trust me. Since you liked Chugakusei Nikki, I do think you will appreciate the depth of Honey and Clover.
I wish the director sees these comments. Not as a fan service, but I just want to see their love bloom. Them talking…
Oh yeah!!! IKEA...i totally see that happening more so than the things I mentioned I wanted to see them doing. He mentions IKEA in ep 7 as well when they meet...like how he thought she was already married to Shoutaro and were like a normal couple buying stuff in Ikea... something on those lines. So IKEA has been on his mind since ep 3. :)
