Which I thought was b*s. It's just a coverup because they are facing the brunt of his overwhelming popularity now and let's face it, this has almost never happened before. Brands being boycotted internationally for a korean drama actor. And his followers increasing post controversy. Ads cancelled him even before he released a statement. Like is 2 days a lot of time given that first whole day, the speculation was rife with the identity. 2nd day Salt said that they are discussing. Given how huge the situation was and his whole future was dependent on that 1 statement , they had to be extremely cautious with words...he apparently even apologised to her personally ..so all this was going in the background. And then next day morning KSH released personal statement and then the girl also retracted her statement on the same day... Why would you expect a person who must be extremely hurt and dumbfounded, whose whole private life including sexual preferences are discussed in the media to be in a position to even think about responding to advertisers. Like they couldn't even let him breath and sort things out for 2-3 days on his own and then discuss your partnership. Like isn't there a thing called humanity out there?

Hmmm......I can understand where you are coming from because I actually felt the same when they made fun of him like that. I saw that there are some things in some societies which are very acceptable like fat shaming is another example in korea, japan. With respect to 2D1N , I know that these guys pull wach other's leg a lot like even referring to Jung Hoon as an 'elderly' although he is just 2-3 years apart from Jong Min and Se Yoon. Also people can develop this sort of minor jealousy because they literally saw Seon Ho sky rocket to fame and they rather had very little to criticize about him because he is good in a lot of random things and extremely good looking and sometimes favoured as well. So to a certain degree everyone has to go through these things to grow up. But in the end these guys were very proud of Seon Ho and supported him individually as well so I didn't mind. You need friends who keep you grounded with criticism as well. Abortion...... that's a deep thing to discuss and there's no straight forward answer to it. While abortion being legal is necessary.....it should also not be so attainable that it makes people have unprotected sex. Children should be educated about these things without a taboo and probably very young children don't need to know about it at all. My mom once told me that years later after my birth she got pregnant despite using contraceptives and since they didn't want more than 2 kids they aborted the pregnancy in the very early stages. So I never grew up thinking that it's unethical even though it's legal. And I would have done the same thing in their place...finances are also often a major part of these decisions.

The negative comments seem so stupid. I feel like the international fans should support overwhelmingly more so that they know they can't bury him. If they have a problem with abortion then they should riot against their own country's legal system. Actually Seyoon and JungHoon could have an opposite perspective from the one you mentioned about this situation because they are married with kids. What I know is many married couples also go through abortion if the pregnancy is unintended. And JunHoon was married for 8-10 years before they had kids. Besides the abortion in this scandal didn't bother me from the start because it's legal in many countries including mine and I agree with the rationality of why it was made legal. The allegations of 'gaslighting' , 'forced' stepped on the ethical and moral grounds but anyways since the parties settled calling it a 'misunderstanding', there's not much to argue about that either. With regards to his appearance on 2D1N , I think it would be fine to join it after a few months of hiatus and he would be welcomed very warmly by the cast and crew. But honestly speaking 2D1N season 4 ended for me at ep 95. KSH was a the factor that attracted most of the foreigners to the variety show because honestly, I didn't know anyone (except may be Kim Jong Min because I saw him in Busted) from 2D1N. And he became the most indispensable member there with his funny side and goofy charm. Although I like all the members now but KSH was still the USP and I liked watching them together. I have no motivation to continue it now. And even if he isn't blurred till ep 99 , I see it pointless to just see him on the screen and not see any of his games, his interesting comments, the camaraderie etc when those were the main things I used to look forward to every week.

I kind of don't agree, He doesn't belong only to south korea or to anyone for that matter. Just like BTS is not just limited to SK. And showing support or revolting against the cancel culture like his editing out from shows and brands is totally valid given that he's not a criminal. And people have a right to voice out their opinions in favor or against as long as they are not dragging anyone unrelated into the matter. Just like I can voice my opinions against terrorism or political issues even when they don't concern my country directly. So yes, since this case highlights the hypocrisy in SK, people will have an opinion about it.

I kind of expected him to be sick after what happened. Like anyone would after suddenly being thrown under the bus like that...and basically reading that horrid account of yourself from your ex lover. There will be exaggerated parts, parts taken out of context and not being in the position to defend it because of your status and because you were at fault too sometimes is a very sticky situation enough to have a mental trauma. The sheer amount of embarrassment that you would feel when your sex life is also revealed in that way sends sheers down my spine.

Compared to all of this Seon Ho seems almost a naive kid who created some trouble. Song Joon ki made a successful comeback this year although he was heavily criticized and dropped after he filed for divorce.
I am positive he will make a come back. I do watch 2D1N clips very often but didn't watch anything in this whole controversy thing this week. This evening I started watching an episode again...and to my surprise it was still funny and I enjoyed it as much as I used to do it before the scandal. Only felt bad for him that he is now going through all this but content wise no issues. That reassured me that he can easily make a comeback and be super successful again.
Of course there are wrongs that he has done pertaining to that relationship but those wrongs are also mistakes made by ordinary people in failed relationships and they are not even of criminal nature ( unless gas lighting charges are tried in court and proven which is also not the case)

Even if we say it is true (although I think its taken out of context), he acted this well for a character he personally didn't like which only goes to tell you how gifted he is as an actor.
Why should that be the case? He is still the best character in this story and portrayed extremely well by Kim Seon Ho. It would be so childish to bring this character down because of his personal life.
