I just finished watching episode 27 and the rain scene between Wei Young and Lan Zhan gave me goosebumps! Wei Wuxian rescuing the Wen Clan which he knows is going to make him a pariah and Lan Zhan and him just having a stare off in the rain! Not to mention so many other factors in that scene! I haven't seen Lan Zhan showing this amount of emotion until now!! The amount of times he clenched his sword as he was struggling between choosing what he believed is right and what is Wei Wuxian is saying! When Wei said he hopes Lan Zhan will be the one to kill him because that will be worth it. And if the pain in his face isn't enough he goes and cries! I was not ready for that! Its is true! The only times we’ve ever seen this guy really emote is when it’s to do with Wei Wuxian!!

Now the part where Lan Zhan drops the umbrella, I feel like that's him finally stepping out of his comfort zone of the rules he is surrounded by. To me, the umbrella symbolized the rules, and he is finally ready to reject them. He is admitting that what Wei Wuxian is doing is not wrong. He could've easily tried to stop them but he decided to go against what he has been taught and doing what he thinks is right.

I would love to hear more thoughts about this scene. I'm all ears :)

I'm guessing there's no chance of them acting together ever again :( Heck not even a variety show or a commercial. I can't believe something simple as fan fiction can do this T__T

If you do end up watching it, here are the three stages I went through:
1. This is ... nonsense? This is very bad.
2. Oh, this is quite watchable nonsense.
3. I HAVE NEVER CARED ABOUT ANYTHING MORE IN MY LIFE.

No wonder it was so successful. Took over 3 years but they still didn't think it would explode like the way it did. I can't believe Wang Yibo almost couldn't be Lan Zhan! Thank lord because he was made for the role and for Ziao Zhan! I definitely agree! His smile is sosososo infectious!

Yes! It's amazing the cast lent their own voice for their OST's. I don't think I've seen any other drama doing that. Honestly hats off to the makers of this dramas and Lin Hai for the music. Even with the censorship , the fact they were able to deliver the concept of 'soulmate' until the very end is really admiring!

It's like I want to finish the drama and the novel but at the same time no!! Because both are soo good! But then I know once I finish them, I will feel empty

And Wang Yibo's is like lullaby! See how in his mv it was only Wei Young from the beginning until the end! It was about longing while Wei Young's mv is abut how he lost everyone he cared about but there's one person who will always be there!!

OMG THANK YOU! It feels so good to like something to this extent! This drama is something else! How did they know that Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo would be perfect as Wei Ying and Lan Zhan?! I still can't get over their acting. It's so perfect! Even when I'm reading the novel, I'm imagining them in my head :D

I apologize ahead but I’m about write a long comment. What has this drama done to me?

I only started watching this drama because it is rated #1 on mydramalist. Now I kind of trust mydramalist rating because the fans in this website are mature and knows what good dramas are. Anyway, I was surprised this drama was #1 because I personally am not a big fan of Chinese dramas. So I started this drama with not a huge expectation. At first, I was thinking, “Wow this is bad why is this #1”. But then I thought, “Its ok let me keep watching”. Next thing you know “Even though it’s bad I can’t stop watching it” and now I am on episode 21 and I don’t have a word to describe how I’m feeling right now.

Mind you, I’m past the age of changing my phone wallpaper to anything celebrity related but guess who are in my phone in the background acting as my wallpaper? I’m about to get keychain with Xiao Zhan and Wang Yibo. Because of work and life in general, I can only watch about 2 episodes a week but this drama keeps creeping on my mind atleast twice every hour. I’m even reading the novel as well. I’m trying to read half a chapter every day. At work whenever I’m getting a chance, I go to tumblr to read about this drama. I have the background music on from the drama and I go to sleep listening to them. I’m at that point where I’m telling my significant other to teach me Chinese (His background is Chinese). What has this drama done to me?! I need major help.

Saw 1, 2, 3, 4, 7, 8, and 10! Out of them gotta say I liked I hear your voice and Nine times travel the best since they're two of my favorites :) Other than that really liked cruel city!! Will start watching two weeks this week :D
