i mean, yes, but it doesn't change the fact that him putting HIS convictions over the family he has to take care now :(... i know that's what these scholars do but it's incredibly frustrating. Eun Ae already had doubts getting married because of what her teachers told her but she went through with it because she loved him (and thanks to Gil Chae talking some sense into her) and I fear she knows that she isn't his priority (at least not top 1) which is so unfair to her.

i'm almost done with episode 8, but i NEED to vent. WHY did Yeon Jun not accept the king's offer, is he an idiot? A coward?? One moment he says he will be loyal and the next he's in jail for 'defamation'. Did he not consider the consequences this will have on his WIFE? and everyone else living in their home? Why is he such a lousy and selfish coward?? If I was Eun Ae I would be so pissed to be married to this rat istg.

yeahhhhh this is one reason i myself am not religious. i understand finding comfort in your religion and a sense of cummunity and safety but at the same time god and the church should not be used to justify murder or you crappy loser son's actions like here. this was just indoctrination and a way for his mother to feel less bad because you could tell she felt a little remorse with Mi Mo. not bad enough to let the kid run free though because "god understands" . sure... i always find it interesting when these poeple speak FOR their god like who said you can speak for him and know what he wants?

yes, you are right. the (sexual) violence against women (such as rape and assault) should have been mentioned in a content/trigger warning before the episode starts. Were you able to watch the show regardless, or did you have to stop?

my own netflix says the show is for 16+, but yes, it was a very graphic and violent show. if you're not into gory, blood and all that it can be hard to stomach. I feel like shows needs to put tw/cw in general, it should definitely be more normalized.

Yes, all in all, he was an incredibly flawed character that did terrible things. It's crazy how no one ever found out that it wasn't Mo Mi who killed th first dude, but Joo Oh Nam. Very annoying to be honest. That man was a murderer, creep and rapist, overall just a nasty man whose actions were excused and ignored by his mother :(

i'm on the last epsiode but i gotta say that kim kyung ja is so annoying. she is the real villain here. she's eaten by revenge and on top of that she's a groomer. her son deserved to die for being a creepy rapist.

I have yet to watch Empress Ki, but I thought his acting was marvelous in Lovestruck in the City as well, and I am quite sad that not many people liked the drama because the overall performance of the entire cast is really great!

my sushi guy, the dad to be and pres choi all died in the span of 10-15 minutes i was so mad. i need the bad guys to die too in the last 2 episodes otherwise i’ll give this show one star lmao (so far i’m leaning into 2/5 or 5-6/10 for mld)
