Respect to the mayor for not giving the name to grandpa and also speaking for himself regardless of how timid…
I felt something close to tenderness for him when he asks Do Jun why he helped him, and Do Joon says: I think you would do well as major and not just be a son in law, and Mr Choi is nearly moved to tears, just because his little nephew trusts in him and said some encouraging words...That shows how little respect and kindness he has received in his life, to be so moved by that
soonyang motors*. Just one company in the conglomerate. And from what we know that is not the holding company.
You're right, I forgot to put it was Soonyang Motors, I edited it. Grandpa would have an apoplexy if Mr Inversor asked for so many shares from the whole company lol
The grandfather who is the founder of the SoonYang conglomerate is a fine man......His children and their children…
But that's not the reason why he wanted to fire a lot of employees. ML asked him why (after all, he would have to hire new ones, a lot of families would suffer and the negotiations with Ahjin would go way smoother because they show us the late chairman of Ahjin cared about his employees) and Grandpa answered that treating servants well makes them think they are masters, so you have to remind them that they are just servants. This shows how Yang Cheol doesn't value the people that work for him at all, and this reflects in the future in how his family treated their employees, such as the ML, like garbage, even when ML served them loyally and saved their asses. It's funny and ironic how Grandpa says to eldest grandchild that he is the pillar of Soonyang (when that motherf*cker has only spent money and go partying) when the pillar of the company are his workers, from high to low
The grandfather who is the founder of the SoonYang conglomerate is a fine man......His children and their children…
Oh, I love the grandfather. He is a superb businessman, and he is the reason the company was so powerful, as we can see in the future, his legacy is crumbling because of his incompetent and foolish descendants. And I really love the combo grandpa-ML, and I wish we see a lot more of them, both of them toe to toe in a battle of wits, and Yang Cheol realising ML is worthier than any else in the family to be the succesor. BUT that being said, Grandpa is not a good person, as we can see in ep 5 when he wanted to fire Ahjin workers only to show employees "who is the master". Or the matter with the vase, he didn't scold his eldest grandson for hurting his cousin, instead he only cared about how he didn't control his emotions and that was not proper for the heir. But the truth is that a truly good person can't be an exceptional businessman (you have to step on other people, sooner or later) ML and Yang Cheol are my favourite characters without question, truly an amazing performance from both actors. (The way grandpa says to Mr Oh "I am Jin Yang Cheol" last ep gave me goosebumps)
ending of ep 5: now, our brilliant ML has 17% of shares from Soonyang Motors ... and this is only the beginning. Jin trash family won't know what hit them, and I eagerly wait to the day Do Joon is like: yeah, now I am a major shareholder and I was just using my friend Mason Oh to blindside you, but I was behind Miracle! surprise b*tches, did you think you had seen the last of me?? (insert Madison meme from season 3 AHS)
About ep 4 and the whole plot with Hando Steel, when ML says to Mr Inversor that this is his opportunity (making them very indebted): is he referring to destroying the legacy of Yang Cheol, Soonyang (as a way to get revenge against the whole family), or that he sees it as a way to acquire Soonyang in the future? After all, it seems eldest uncle and aunt put some of their own money/shares to get the funds The thing is, I love so much the whole grandpa grandson combo, I don't want to see them in different boats: and personally I would find more satisfying if he takes revenge not by destroying the company, but by having ML be the chairman in the future. Imagine if he begins creating such trouble for his uncles/aunt that they have to start selling shares, and he buys them secretly, to become a major shareholder towards the end by surprise xd. Am I the only one that wants Soonyang to flourish under ML's influence, and not going bankrupt??
I just started ep 1 of this drama. What I don’t understand is why Soonyang family level 1 which is I think is…
When you talk about hierarchy you mean importance in the family? In fact, I think it's like this: -0 would be Jin Yang Cheol, the ML's grandpa in this second life, since he founded the company and he is the head of the family. -Alphas are the in laws, the husbands/wifes of the blood members -The first number represents the order of birth of Yang Cheol's sons. -The second number represents the order within that specific line. For example: ML is 4-2 because he is the second son of the fourth son of the chairman. His brother is 4-1, because he is the first child of the fouth son. ML's father would be 4-0: the second number a 0 for all the first generation, because they are direct descendants from the chairman. The eldest grandson (the bratty thief) would be 1-1, because he is the first son (that's why his second number is 1) within the line of the first son of the chairman (first number) At least that's how I understood it, hope it helps !!
He is not. JH is 29, YW is 27. How her mom possibly have son 2 years prior YW.
Even if she got married after having YW, what does that have to do with debunking the theory?? TSM could have married a man that had a son from a previous marriage?? Ofc it's only speculation, but there's a chance, taking into consideration this is a kdrama, and the brother/sister/ father is always someone that has being introduced prior in the story lol, so they keeping mentioning a son is shady
I don't think either MW or JH is TSM son bcs it goes against Korean inerarchy logic. If either of them were her…
I don't think MW has any chance at being her son (JH could be a stepson, we'll see...) but the son might not be interested in working under her mom's thumb
I think the half brother is Lawyer Kwon Min Woo because they are always shown having sibling type fights
I don't think so because of some different reasons (the age the less important cause they could go step sibling route) In ep 7, when TSM appeared in court, MW was the one to bring attention to her saying "why is the king here" and explaining who she was in the legal circle, that scene gave me the impression she was this role model he admired, but a stranger. And I have gotten this feeling since the beginning, which has being "confirmed" in the last 2 eps, that MW comes from a humble background; he is always desperate to win over Su Yeon and WYW, which could be because he really needs to be the one chosen (sad to think they are going to only give a job to one of the newbies at the end), ofc his obsession with competing and coming on top might be because of his personal traits (aka he is just a d*ck), and not his need for a job, But what gives away he is not a rich kid is his absolute fury upon discovering WYW's connections and the nepotism. He is not using the story just to get back at WYW, he is really upset that he has worked really hard to get sth that other people get in a silver platter, with no effort (though in WYW's situation, that nepotism is damn well deserved when having the qualifications and the skills. she is not given the opportunity because of her autism) And when Su Yeon defends WYW, MW replies that she doesn't have an issue because her father is a high ranked officer so she might also benefit from connections (Btw, I am not saying wealthy people use/are in favor of nepotism. but having resources and money I don't think they would feel so strongly about it as someone who really have it hard)
Btw, though I don't really mind who FL ends up with (ML is obviously Jang Uk), I absolutely love FL's interactions with Crown Prince, they are golden and I laugh a lot CP counting 1,2,3... waiting MD's appearance, Mu Deok "complimenting" him but in fact calling him petty to his face MD: Your Highness, you are really wise to keep your petty thoughts to yourself Crown Prince: I only show my pettiness to you, Filthy Mu Deok And CP going away grinning after he saw MD carries his sachet with her I am living for their banter LOL
I hope that thief "friend" of MD will not stay for long in the drama... I mean, it's pretty obvious from ep 9 that she will pretend to be JBY using the scarf she stole from Mu Deok, though if they want to keep a minimum logical plot, the pretense will not last for long (after all, Jin family members have powers exclusive to their blood, like opening that gate) and knowing MD is the real heir to Jin family, the thief will try to kill her to keep her false identity. I have to admit it is not a plot I am looking forward too lol
This is disturbing. And the most disturbing thing is, that most people don't think it's disturbing. The girl is…
What it's really disturbing is your bias against an autistic person who clearly IS NOT a child emotionally (in contrast with the pengha man from another ep); she may not have had interest in romance till now, but it's obvious from last ep when she watched Attorney Choi and Jun Ho laughing that she might have some new feelings for him. That you are grossed out by the possible romance storyline of FL does not mean autistics don't have romantic feelings??? In your opinion they don't deserve to find love just because they are different from you? There are a lot of good k dramas out there (alchemy of souls is airing, six flying dragons, stranger/secret forest, the chinese Nirvana in fire) or american/european tv series, but if you are not into "fluffly cute" drama I think the problem is not about the quality of the show (which imo is amazing so far), but that this drama is not your cup of tea. Btw, in fact I agree that the legal cases are not the best, but it is understandable since the real focus of this show is showing an autistic woman's life and the challenges she encounters in her personal and profesional life. I would recommend law shows like the american "The good wife", or even "How to get away with murder"
Hypothetically, if CEO Tae was YW mom. JH is not her son. Her son plays on the computer. That does not sound like…
I personally don't think it is for nothing xd, the moment they introduced Taesan CEO, she was being interviewed and was asked about her son... that in kdrama world is absolutely suspicious lol. When asked about her son's life, she could say "oh he is a doctor" or something like that, but she clearly avoided answering in a straightforward manner (she looked very uncomfortable) and said that he was "figuring out" ; so again, why the need to act mysterious? Yes, we are all overthinking at this point lol, but is precisely because there are certain plots that kdrama producers seem obsessed about, it would not be the first, not the second time I've watched a drama where ML and FL are "related" but not by blood really. I have the feeling that JH will turn out to be Taesan's CEO stepson from her husband's previous marriage/ adoptive son, and FL bio daughter, though I could be wrong ofc.

After all, the preview of the previous ep showed them with HCR
