Well, after all they say that to beat a monster, you have to become one. There's no way ML can get revenge against amoral awful people if he doesn't play dirty. And that's the reason why ML died in his first life, because he was loyal and expected the people he gave his everything to not betray him.
That type of articles are only proof of how people love to criticise everything, because nobody would love this show how we do if they gave us a mary sue/gary stu. Antiheroes or grey characters are much more interesting !!!

As a student of both business and law, this drama calls on me on so many levels lol (though I wished they showed some of his law studies, I understand it's not important to the show, as he only goes there to make connections)
I hope we see the "friendships" and connections from college play a role in the drama lately, and his family realises why he was so interested in studying law and not business

I don't know, but previews are often misleading. I really hope FL does not disappoint us!

-They have not shown us anything more from the first timeline, but YES, you can see from ep 1 Do Jun existed, when his mother (actress) went to demand they tell her what really happened to her son "that day" and in exchange of the truth, she will give them her shares. She could not be talking about her eldest son (4-1), because ML mentioned him (when he was still Manager Yoon) being in the entertainment business and not involved with Soonyang, so she was talking about Do Jun for sure.
And the scene where eldest son of Yang Cheol and his son are having this huge argument that results in first uncle suffering a heart attack, the cousin accuses his father of doing a terrible thing and his father says that it was all for his sake, so he could inherit the company. This conversation implies that this "terrible thing" has something to do with the "mysterious accident" that the actress son suffered. So yeah, Do Jun existed in the past, but he was already dead by the time ML met Soonyang family in his first life.
-YHW still exists in this second timeline, but we have not seen him yet in person. Spoiler from novel: in the novel, ML was super surprised because he was not longer a he, but a she in his second life: so instead of Yoon Hyun Woo, he was a girl, and ML was totally baffled about the change in gender lol. I am not sure if they`ll keep this twist from novel, but I would like it

but Do Jun is blood related?? What they have revealed this ep is that Grandpa had his fourth child (ML's dad) out of wedlock, with a woman that is not his wife. But ofc ML is his bio grandson. There's no way in hell someone like Grandpa would consider the idea of making Do Jun succesor if he weren't his blood

Yes, it is really understandable that ML admires grandpa because they are in fact similar, they both come from a very humble and harsh environment and they manage to overcome their circumstaces with their intelligence, skill, and a lot of sweat and tears (I mean, ofc Do Jun in 1 life didn't really succeed because he lived a really hard life and was like a slave to Jin family, but he kind of succeed in the sense of earning a lot of money, even with his background)
I really would appreciate if they develop their relationship in the drama to the loving one of the novel.

From what I know
Romance: in the novel, there is 0 focus on romance. They mention Do Jun's love interest a few times in the story: that she is a prosecutor, grandpa approves they relationship, they get married... but it's no relevant at all. The story is only focused in the two main characters: ML and grandpa.
So there is no revenge of FL, this is where the drama seems to differ a lot from novel, because here ML's wife is a main character, and romance may be somewhat relevant in future eps.

The problem it's they have announced her as a Main Character, when at least in the material source (novel, manwha) she was in like 3-4 scenes lol. That being said, I guess she will really get screen time starting with ep 9, when she becomes a prosecutor. I personally totally understand why she hasn't appeared much until now (she doesn't have a role to play in the story until she is a prosecutor) but I feel you: it reminds me of how they promoted the chinese drama "Who rules the world" as having 2 main characters, while then in the drama FL was just the love interest of ML, and it was infuriating.

I think the vibe for now may be totally different, in the sense that, in novel, he is much less interested in his past life. Like, he embraces his new identity, and really develops a loving relationship with his grandpa (Yang Cheol adores him, and he loves grandpa as well). In the end, he says something like "I am Jin Do Jun", and def leaves behind his previous life as a worker for Soonyang. It's not a story of revenge like in the drama, but about exploiting this new opportunity to live the best you can
We will have to see how it develops, but it seems hard to me to have ML really loving Yang Cheol as family after what he did to his previous family, specially since in the drama he is so much more attached to his first life, and his mother died because of Soonyang.
About obstacles, I don't want to spoil you, but let's say there may be some hidden obstacles in the road (and after today's ep, I am absolutely convinced they will follow one of the biggest plot twists in the novel)

I haven't read the novel, but I have looked for some spoilers of it (so please, if you don't want to know spoilers from novel, stop reading this)and if they follow the novel, aunt will get along with ML in the future after this:
This trick that ML plays on aunt, ends with him being the new owner of her aunt's company. Grandpa accepts this like his daughter's fault, but asks Do Jun please to have a little mercy with her, and Do Jun explains he pretended anyway to let her be the vice-chairman/ceo (I don't remember the specific position) because his aunt is in fact fairly competent doing business.
So ML gets her company, but she feels in some way grateful because she can maintain her high position in the company, and ML after all calls the shot so aunt was not a problem for him anymore

I think it's the opposite: he wants to divide Yang Cheol's children, and that's the main reason why he forced his grandpa's hand and made him abandom the idea of primogeniture succesion: so those greedy awful uncles/aunt would go at each other's throats. In fact, I don't think the aunt would oppose him in the future (I will post a comment below under the spoiler tag to explain why I think so)
And yes, I def think Do Jun will partner up with FL

But wasn't O sung the one that leaked his own secret?? So his stepsister thought it was Chanmi and she would get expelled.

I think Woonseok was gay, and I had my suspicions, but after ep 8 I am convinced O Sung has the hots for Jaebom. The way he looks at him, specially in the scene when they argue and he punches Jaebeom... I am sorry but I wish a man would look at me like O sung looks at his bff lol

Talking about doppelgangers, I have never seen two people look so alike (without being family) as these 2 korean actors: Ahn Hyo Seop, and Nam Joo Hyuk. I saw dramas with one of them, and I always thought it was the same actor lol

The only reason that could explain the reveal happening so soon is that it remains a secret for the rest of the family (only Grandpa knows), but we will see next ep

Could someone please spoil me what happens in the novel? I feel extremely curious, but the eenglish translation seems to be of only a few chapters, not complete novel
