In short, what Uk needs the most is Yeong, his light, to guide him in doing the right thing like she always did in part 1. Even Uk asked Naksu's approval before he sacrifice his power to save his friends. He may need JBY's power to handle the ice stone in the end, but not as important as Yeong's influence in his life decision. if you understand Uk character since beginning, he's a lazy ass who needs motivation for everything he do. He may have King star energy, but he will only sleep, eat, take a bath and do nothing everyday if Naksu didn't come into his life. Naksu/Yeong is the biggest motivation in his life. He's not righteous man who's willing to protect the world out of nothing like Seo Gyeong or Seo Yul. We don't know what motivation he will get in part 2, seems like protecting someone/something is his biggest motivation based on the trailer.
If in the end he's willing to claim the throne and create chaos like you said, then the motivation must be protecting his one and only love. Same reason, if in the end he's going to save Daeho from chaos, it must be also because yeong/naksu motivate him to do so, or maybe bigger motivation than just yeong. Just don't expect he will save the world without specific motivation. That's his basic trait and also his uniqueness as character, I don't think the writer will change him all of sudden.
Just don't judge Naksu character as a bad bad, she was used all the time and deserves second chance. Even park jin/heo yeom hinted in part 1 that they plan to held Unanimous Assembly meeting to clear Cho family name. All family that killed her father (seo, jang, park, jin) in the end will be the people who will protect her.
And about Jin Bu Yeon, her extraordinary power is going to contribute something in part 2 of course. We'll find the reason why she choose to intervene Naksu's soul shifting. She will remain as part of the main story I believe, but in the form of something else, other than JSM (maybe child actress, the bracelet, dunno). She will help Uk to solve the problem just like what she did in part 1. But it won't change the fact that the main focus of this story is Uk and Yeong. I'm 100% sure, Bu Yeon is supporting Uk & Yeong all these times.

😅 you don't have to beg me, I already rewatch AoS for many times. I can't find any sentence from master Lee that say Uk will bring chaos because he is the heir of the throne. Master Lee only said Uk is so talented and granted with power of King Star like Seo Gyeong, but he might not use his power to save the world like seo gyeong did. If you're so sure that you're not watching different show then you can tell me which episode like I did. Whatever, my point is AoS is the story about twisted fate caused by sorcery. It is the basic premise in AoS official synopsis. You can't expect buyeon and Uk will save the world together like seogyong+seolran because they have different fate. I think you're the one who need to review all Master Lee's conversation about King Star especially at near the end of ep 11, and the beginning of ep 14. Master Lee basically said that Uk is different kind of King Star, he may bring chaos to the world using his power, that's why Mastrer Lee is watching over Uk. You need to also rewatch Jinmu & Crown Prince conversation in ep 16. He said anyone born with King Star energy are the threat to the throne regardless their family origin.

As you can see in the synopsis of part 1 and visual text in part 2 trailer: this drama is about mages who defy their fate because of forbiden magic called alchemy of souls.
If we follow the route of fate, King's Star will go together with High Priestess to save Daeho from chaos, and just like 200 years ago, the King Star will fall in love with the High Priestess. However, just like what Master Lee said, Uk is different kind of King Star. He was born because of alchemy of souls, thus his fate is twisted. He makes different thing and different decision compared to Seo Gyong. In this lifetime, the king star is not falling in love with the high priestess, he's in love with a notorious assassin. That's one of the big difference and the main reason why we see Uk in part 2 as a very dark and vengeful King Star. I don't have much to say about how alchemy of souls will change buyeon and naksu fate, we'll get the answer in part 2, but I'm sure this time Uk will be able to save both Daeho and his lover ( Amen). I know it might be a very sad tragedy for buyeon character, but we also have to admit that all the chaos in current Daeho begins with her being born 😢.
