i love yzm. he is one of xk's realest character. to me he is a bit mean when he first met mch but at least he is being himself. no cliche love at first sight etc (well, sometimes i love cliche plot too hehe) and as you said, he has his own bussiness goal to achieve.

shen run is not just mean, he is darker than that. i dont read the novel nor the script, but from what i watch from the trailler, he is scheming, multifaceted and cunning. i hope his enigmatic character is consistent even after he fall in love (dont turn him into a simp pleaseeeee 🙏😅)

we already have yao zhiming, but shenrun may be the 1st ancient one, and more ruthless for sure

i dont mind romance, bromance, friendship whatever as long as the drama is good. if they want to add romance in this drama (in which does not exist in the novel) i just hope they do it properly and dont force it or something coz it will interfere with the plot or leave a bad taste to us, viewers, watching it

yes. i like their friendship and their journey together is the main plot. but the romance was awkwardly placed and (in my opinion) it is out of nowhere. they should stay as friend to be very honest. again, this is just my view. blood of youth is one of my favorite cdrama btw.
