no it is not. female lead in GGS is not a professional gamer meanwhile the female lead in FIYS is one. their romance plot itself is different. in GGS she fell first, she followed him around like a little stalker, but not the case in FIYS. the way the male leads pursue the female leads also different in both dramas. what makes you think they are 'way too much alike'? if you are talking about the similar esport concept, you should say the same with King's Avatar, Gank Your Heart and many other esport dramas too.

i got sotb vs the scandal as 1st match up and i was like... ok.. tough choice... jichangwook, sonyejin and nana, all 3 of my favorite k-actors in one drama.. but xukai, i chose you. sotb, you better not disappoint me (as if this is a real competitian lol. i will definitely watch both)

changyang didnt work a random job at that time. he loves the movie qinglang act in (the one he won best actor) and he asked his brother (the movie sponsor) to attend the award ceremony. his brother tasked him as qinglang's assistant during the ceremony instead (i guess qinglang didnt know his temporary assistant is his sponsor's younger brother). hence that clip from minitheater happened.
changyang started as a fan, he didnt suddenly get obsessed of qinglang.

rewatch is so worth it too. when everything comes to light, you will grin like a fool when you finally understand why it is like this and like that.. changyang's devoted love, i never see it as creepy. for 2 years, he never invade qinglang's personal space. he never make qinglang uncomfortable like stalkers do. he even hesitated when qinlang actively pursued him. and qinglang that brat even felt proud (and turn on lmao) when he knew what changyang did to lure him to molie.

the entertainment industry is nasty. changyang's sister is a toxic fool, i wish people like her wont enter my life. the 2nd cp is just a filler. i skip their parts and i still dont missed any important plot. i know they are the reflection of qinglang's first relationship if they choose different direction. but i dont need that info coz qinglang deserves better.

i think it is the plot problem, coz i dont see the similar issue in kill me love me. or maybe the ml actor of kmlm is just too good, idk. i dont watch royal betrothal yet so i cant comment on that
