Xukai's roles are not always cold domineering ML with higher status.. he did well as socially awkward shut-in in She & her Perfect Husband (with Yangmi). he also subordinate of FL in The Legend (with Bailu). he was naughty narcissistic (in stupid way) playboy in Arsenal Military Academy (also with Bailu).
maybe because of last year's dramas (Best Choice Ever & As Beautiful As You) made ppl think he always take that kind of cold domineering role.

they work together from the beginning, i can say harmoniously. but both of them were hiding their identities and true abilities, not enemy for sure

personally, im not hooked at first 3 episodes but it started getting better at episode 7 when meizhuyu's junior appeared and we can see a glimpse of his past, and wuzhen started being suspicious about his identity

wu zhen already suspicious of mei zhuyu's identity at episode 7, thanks to the appearance of his fellow taoist friend. meanwhile mei zhuyu already suspicious of wuzhen's identity earlier than that (we dont know yet, but his behaviour towards her is kinda obvious, or maybe it is just me)

really not my liking. i tried watching twice. dropped it half way both time. when it was released in 2019, i watched up to 2nd episode only. i cant stand the FL who fell in love at first sight and follow the ML to the point of stalking just for that love. sigh.. too childish for her age. 6 years later, i tried watching this again but dropped at ep 20+ (well, at least there is improvement in number of episode i watched). their communication is so bad. the ML left her without any communication when her mother ask him too. dude, why? wheres your balls? at least communicate before making that decision! he is so frustrating. the FL is supposed to be a genius but her actions are too chi--not genius. im sorry, i do feel this drama is overrated despite how much i love Yangzi 😭

i love him since Ancient Love Poetry. if you are more into romance, watch KMLM and In Blossom. if u dont really need romance and you are looking for a great drama with good rating, Blood of Youth is highly recommended.

his performance in KMLM is great. the way he potrayed a complex vengeful prince at the beginning, how he plot his revenge, slowly fall in love, and the redemption arc, i love everything. the overall plot is good (if u ignore the draggy last few episodes).
In Blossom is good too. the plot is more mysterious. it is about him investigating his wife's death and it is just the tip of a huge iceberg. love him in it too.
Blood of Youth. how can he still be so handsome without hair omg hahahahhaa.

dont watch her content. stop giving her money. she is a troll. few years ago, i still remember her encouraging hate on a certain actor on weibo, and it blew up so much in all social medias. when she was attacked back by the actor's fans, she played victim. she even called her subscribers her 'fans' lmao what a narcissistic jerk.

it is good. one of fan zhi xin's best drama. im glad i watch it from start to end.

for a short drama, the plot is high quality. i like it. definitely a worth watching drama. recommended.
