i dont want to spoil you, but ep 28 will bring a major (biggest) spoiler, then you will think that bird simbolized a certain someone (other than qingyuan's mom)

as someone who follow this drama real time and was here since day1, ive seen the response and ratings of this drama from 8+ dropped to 7+ (when it was only 4-5 ep aired), then it steadily increase to 8.4 (highest), stay there for quiet sometimes, only to drop back after the finale 😅

as much as i love xukai here, i kind of agree with some ppl that the last 3-4 episodes are kind of disappointment (im glad i didnt buy express lol). too much talking that make viewers who loves all the adrenaline rush scenes previously feel disappointed. the only good thing in those episodes is xieshu's actor. his acting is so good 🫡

i know the last few episodes are important for the xie family plot, but it is still boring. they should compress it to 2 episodes max, then give the screentimes to the political plot, shen bros' revenge or our cp. qingru had a happy ending is another disappointment.

BUT, doesnt mean this drama is bad bad.
2/3rd of it is good. the tensions, the chemistry, the suspense, the plot twist are 🔥🔥🔥
is it worth watching? yes. give it a try.

after finished SOTB, im rewatching this while waiting for my 1month iqiyi subscription expired. gosh i miss these chaotic master-disciple duo. the whole group also such a mess 😆

Ing is a sl*t and he is consistent with the novel's character (as per ep2, i think drama ver is milder). to be frank, i dont really like him in the beginning of the novel until the plot progressed, yok's plan and itt's intention were revealed. this story is going to have redflag feast so watch at your own risk

i watch both simultaneously, it kind of refreshing to see cute GE kaikai & ruthless SOTB shenrun/yanrui back to back 😁

of course the drama is not perfect (i heard they struggled with low budget behind the scene), but as u said, xukai as yanrui & shenrun is an eye candy that worth watching 😁 they dont focused on the cp in last three episodes but to me it is important for the plot. keep watching!

from what i understand, he started turning grey when he knew about his identity as a fake son of the Xie. grandma Xie is not helping at all by marrying him to that corrupted Hu family. that old Hu (his bro in law) pushed him to betray his best friend, papa Shen. his biological father's greed is the final straw. he turns truly evil after he killed his father.

he killed FL's mother because she is the true decendant of the Xie... maybe? his greed is bigger than his love.

today is final episode already ☹️
i like this season's concept. all the episodes are connected to each other and you can see it in today's episode.

next is closing party. i hope they will allow VIPs to watch it unlike previous season's closing party 😩🙏🙏🙏🙏

have u watch today's episode? poor xukai in the balloon room. when i saw the room, i knew it gonna be xukai's nightmare.

he did great as fuca fuheng despite he was just a rookie actor. im tired of seeing comments of "wooden xukai", "expressionless xukai" when they only watch 1-2 of his dramas.

he was very expressive and funny in arsenal military academy & lingjian mountain and those dramas were released 7 years ago. the stereotype happened because his recent popular roles are mostly silent, upright, introvert characters and just because ppl dont understand the essense of those characters (in which he did great potraying them), they mocked on his acting instead

i agree with you, he did well and improving since debut, he was not magically a great actor at the beginning. but he definitely not a bad actor.

he can act since 2018. ppl just stereotyped him because of his characters. watch his old dramas then you can see it.

that face xie shu made was scary, seriously.. i was scared too. he is such a good actor

dogshit or not, just because you hate it, doesnt mean the plot is not there.

my 2cents:
1. biologically, she is the only true decendant of the Xie. he is not.
2. those wealth belongs to the ppl of hentang. the Xie gains it for generations through corruptions. morally, she gave it back to the rightful owner.
