I think that's what the original actress was protesting...
It's all rumours, but something went terribly wrong off-screen. Choose one: A. Original actress was unhappy about her limited screentime and/or shaky directing of her character, ffwd few weeks of bad attitude (reportedly) until she allegedly physically assaults the PD, the crew refuses to work with her and the station cuts of its biggest star after using her name to attract the viewership. B. She only got in this mess to stand for / go in between other member and a notoriously hard to work with PD (hint: she's had a v.good rep so far). C. It's a manufactured scandal (part of a bigger flood of rumours involving many more people) to detract public attention from a massive Samsung slush fund getting discovered.
The characters gets her screentime in the second half. Let's say it's a show that keeps changing viewpoints, and it was doing it weekly from the very beginning.
there's one subber. I'm not sure what may seem like a gentle nudge from impatient fans would be well received.…
That was a news to me, too, but a moderator (or was it someone quoting a moderator?) tuned in that thread and said so, so it must be a d-addicts rule. And it makes sense as long as the communication is alive, because it saves manpower and people aren't working on the same thing without knowing of each other. It's possible that a work on further episodes has at least started and it would be a waste to do it all over. It's probably good for the quality of translation, because the person who undertook a task can focus on it without racing with others and do things slowly and carefully. Some subbers put lots of effort in relying modes on speech, personal quirks of certain characters, putting additional notes etc. It's a form of respect to let the original subber/team finish what they started. And that's all good as long as there's communication open.
What the f happened? Why did she change so much? I know the actresses changed but why has the character changed…
I wonder would you all say so if it wasn't for the actress change. Choi Ja Hye had more makeup only in one scene (when she was at the police station to confront Oh Tae Suk). Showrunners were doing the same thing with Nara before, giving her different looks depending on a situation and mood (when she decided to join back the law company). It's not nonsensical to show a fuller picture of Choi Ja Hye upon revealing the scale of her plotting, bit that would lead us to figuring her out sooner included. She always had a dark vibe about her and the plot twist explains far more than it shatters. I'm not sure why is everyone so confused.

Haha, I feel I'll need to refresh my memory by the time we will get more subbed episodes. But this drama is so cute it's worth waiting. There's also a possibility of someone unrelated to d-addicts community trying to translate Indonesian subs to English, since they are already timed. But I don't know how good they are to begin with.
Is there a way to contact to the Japanese subbers? They have definitely forgotten to complete subbing this one.

Here http://www.d-addicts.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=13&t=163616&start=75 is a thread to stalk in a meantime. The subber hasn't logged since Dec, so the customary 3 months halt for other person/team to pick it up from where s/he stopped is nearing to its end.
But that's precisely the point, she tells him the things he wants to hear while pretending to be innocent/clueless.…
was it her coat? I thought it was a jacket that Kevin left when he came back for a moment that night. She found it when she was throwing his stuff away. Maybe he stole it when he and Hye Ra was making out, in order to blackmail her? It makes little sense for HR to plant it since she doesn't want to be found out, but there was a running theory she got herself recorded on purpose. Unless there's a third party and someone snatched it in a meantime. So many questions!
i mean that police guy is stupid or what? there is no phone records or stuff to check? what ? the witness THINKS…
But that's precisely the point, she tells him the things he wants to hear while pretending to be innocent/clueless. He's not stupid, he's obsessed since that case from the past and he's not completely wrong that Hye Ra was involved and got away with it. I'm scratching my head myself as to why they needed 8 episodes to check victim's phone records when it's usually the first thing to do, but it kinda makes sense writing-wise. If HR was the last caller, it'd come up sooner and the policeman would try to use it against her. Maybe she's not the last person Kevin was talking to. We still don't know the full timeline of what had happened that night. Same goes for Kevin's wife. The writer chooses suspense and shock value over real-life logic here and witholds things. I've been wondering the whole episode what will Eun Joo do - will she show him the recording? tell about the affair clearly? It's not about hard evidence at this point. She leads him on, he's happy to oblige.
I went back to that scene. Both bottles are full, their caps unpierced. So technically those are the other two bottles that can be used for victims No 3 & 4, but as a visual device to show the audience that it's all her doing it's effective.
99 11 4 are actually 1999.11.04 which is Jung So Mi's death date (Idk yet if she's Choi Ja Hye's daughter or little…
nice catch! It could be a sister too, but I'll go with a daughter. Choi Ja Hye's company is named Demeter and as we all know, Demeter lost her daughter (Persephone/Kore). I wonder whether it ties to the nightmare of drowning that CJH had once, because Persephone was abducted when she was playing with the water nymphs, daughters of Oceanus. The dream was two-fold, with a part in blue and then part in red (water / fire, hence scars on her back), so there's still plenty to expose. But there's also the bloodied bunny nailed to the little girl's grave, so maybe it was something simple, like hit and run with younger versions of 4 Psychos. A water or fire wouldn't left it unscathed.
Anyway. I'm making a concious effort not to insert Go Hyun Jung in my mind. She would rock in the second part of the drama.
is it possible that the crime committed from when she was young is actually done by her and not the dude in prison?…
I'm thinking that even if she didn't do it, he may still protect her in a sense. Let's say she was molested by her teacher. It's Korea. Even as a victim, she would be shamed to no end, so maybe they did what they could to cover the reason for killing and her involvement so it would never see the light of day? Maybe it was never made public why exactly [the teacher] was killed? And now it can become a scandal and bring her down regardless whether she killed anyone or not. But Eun Joo is vile. And here I was thinking she has some silly idea of seducing Tae Wook like it had any chance of succeeding (or exposing the recording at worst).
I'm not sure I know what you mean. I realise the question was wrongly formulated, because it's one used bottle next to the dead lover picture, one bottle to use next to the picture of the ex-cop in a freezer, so that leaves two for a future use. What does ep 17-18 provide further specifically about next two victims other that they may be people connected to the raped girl and/or Choi's daughter death (and that if Choi follows the pattern of setting Fantastic Four up one by one, they can't end up dead before it's over)? Now I'm not sure girl's bottle was empty, but logically it should be. Maybe it wasn't and that's where my confusion came from. Or both were used if he was already dead.
/and just so you know, if Shinjuku isn't enough hint, there's all kind of explicit content here, so don't go into it expecting some breezy slice of life light watch.
