Wait, was it a real thing? The transformation sequence I mean. I thought it was something made up for the drama,…
And every proper magical girl anime ought to have its transformation sequence, that's right. It fit so well here I could swear it's manufactured, but since it's not, I hope you'll find the source!
I enjoyed the last episode and this has been a great drama all in all, even though I feel there is a biiiiiit…
I'm actually impressed what a wondrous thing they managed to spin around two tropes I loathe (psychokillers and childhood backstory for romance), but I have to admit it was kinda needlessly sensationalist? The story would be strong enough to stand on its own even without those crutches and shortcuts, if they just met like real, relatable people. The 'I-know-who-the-killer-is-so-let's-keep-mum-and-separate-so-she-could-hunt-us-one-by-one' was dumb, but eventually done with quickly. How do you feel about the penultimate episode separation trope? I think it was skillfully dodged and worked through quite organically.
The who's the crown prince guessgame is strong and I ship them like there's no tomorrow, but what if our favourite shape-shifting, evil spirits-banishing chief is in fact Wol-joo's mother, the shaman? He mentioned she may be watching her closer than she thinks.
The recommendations may be thematically correct, but the vibe is more Pegasus Market, Feels Good to Die or Spring meets Spring. Left-field, wacky, heartfelt, with unexpected pairings that somehow hold more power than those of many typical romcoms out there. I love it so much. And whoever is responsible for toning down HJE just the right bit is worth their weight in gold. I'm grateful for finally being able to see her skills and quirks without excessive screeching. She rocks.
This drama made me realized just how talented Lee Eung Book director is. With DotS, Goblin, and Mr. Sunshine success,…
People keep complaining about the editing (as in way the scenes are lined up and juxtaposed, which can be sometimes jarring but more often than not makes sense in hindsight, just as this drama in whole in fact), but there's plenty of actual clever montage in here (as in way the images/frames are tied up to flow, neat tiny pieces full of tension and movement that makes me rewind with glee).
Exquisite. Twice as much fun if you're like me and haven't read the synopsis beforehand or aren't familiar with the source material. The storytelling is so elegant and there's this mood overall that's both sordid, fatal and eerily humorous somehow, I can't put my finger on it, this turning people up to 11 into something transcending times and circumstances.
Here is a theory. Is it possible that there is actually 2 teams working in the dark for the last 25 years?- The…
Interesting! But re: money with the king's face on it, isn't it just a way of referring to the highest denomination it signifies? Like money with Saimdang's face in our world.

But I'm dying to know how was her pearl hairstyle done! Were those pins? A net? It looked so organic, but alas no closeups.
