1000% agree. I never saw his character as cold. It's very obvious to me how much emotion he conveys within his eyes. Not just as Ling Buyi. Wu Lei is so great at expressing difficult emotions through his eyes.

this was one of the main reasons I was *SO* excited for this drama. I've always adored his voice and would have been too let down to watch it had he been dubbed. So much of his incredible acting during his emotional scenes comes through his eyes and his voice. We'd loose all nuance if his voice was dubbed over.

There is no "part 2" trailer. This is misleading comment. The trailer already released contains both parts of the story, that's why there are still several scenes in the trailer that we haven't seen.

Yesss. That was my *favorite* scene in TLB and I rewatched it 1000x. It was what solidified him as my favorite ML actor. His emotional scenes are particularly beautiful to watch.

Sweating bullets over here wondering when Part 2 will release. My heart can't take the wait. The 5day wait between episodes is already agonizing

Yess! In everything he's in. The lighting in this show is especially flattering on him. I can't help but get butterflies whenever they do long shots on his face. He's gorgeous and his eyes glow.

The way LBY steps toward CSS at the end of Ep 15 to ask her if she's chosen the right one. **heart eyes** Wowwww.

Also- I'm at the end of Ep 15 during their dinner, and I've got to say how much I LOVE LBY's insightfulness. He's seemingly rigid, upright, aloof, and calculating, but he's got a very romantic and insightful thought process regarding his perspective on the orphan girl and the general. This show slowly peels back the rigid layers he presents outwardly to the world, and I love it so much. He's more complex and thoughtful than his appearance makes him out to be.

I'm in the first half of Ep 15 and keep smiling at the fluffy cuteness between CSS and LY. She's not *in* love with him because she has no idea what it means. She's choosing him right now because he's safe, in front of her, and easily bends to her instruction. They're cute and innocent together and would make a great pair of friends who mutually benefit from their shared passion for helping others. I'm excited to see how the story transitions from this cute and naive faux romance to the violently passionate love she'll eventually have for LBY.

good christ i need better self control. saw the trailer for Ep 20 with LBY backstory starting to unfold and I AM SO READYYYY. Give me all the angst and whump with our beautiful male lead.

Saw it! Really enjoyed that as well. I like the chemistry between her and Wu Lei much more though. Maybe its the similar age or something, idk. They've barely had any scenes so far and I'm always speechless when they're together.

This might be a dumb question but I'm honestly curious- do you think the trailer we've seen ONLY represents the first half (these first 27 episodes), or do you think it represents the full drama? Just wondering if we should expect another trailer once this first "season" ends and what kind of content we should expect.

I'm saying watching the show as it airs was a dumb idea because I'm too impatient for the next episode, haha.

I started watching Alchemy of Souls on Netflix (kdrama) to pass the time and stupid me -that show is also live. Whyyyy. LOL.

Curious for those who read ahead- is there any point where CSS chases after ML?? As much as I love the usual ML-falls in love first trope, I really wish FL would show her love or save the ML at some point too so its not always ML goes after FL lead.
