I'm finally watching this for the first time and am loving it so far, but FOR THE LIFE OF ME, can't understand why they keep referring to Yang Yang as "ordinary" and "boring" like we don't have eyes of our own. SAYING it 1000x doesn't make it true, I wish they'd stop trying to gas light us. Just choose an ordinary looking actor then, jeezus. No way in hell is his appearance anywhere near ordinary. I keep realizing my mouth is hanging open watching him.

I don't know, he sounds perfectly fine to me in My Journey To You. His line delivery was everything for me. It added such an edge to his character. After seeing the success of his character in that drama, it's hard for me to understand any director rationalizing dubbing him after that.

Praying that these delays and the vocal push back on dubbing allowed them to dub their own voices. I still don't understand why Deng Wei isn't dubbing himself? His voice is so similar to the actor that dubs him, that I'm CONSTANTLY 2nd guessing if it's really him, but I'm seeing in the dramawiki credits that it's the same voice actor who dubbed him in Lost You Forever and his other recent drama.
Whyyy. I'm such a purist when it comes to that, it always sounds 1000x more authentic in emotion when it's the real deal. His voice actor is thankfully incredible and never detracts from Deng Wei's performance (excluding maybe in the de*the scene in Lost You Forever). He REALLY puts the work in to be exact to Deng Wei

100% I literally saw this drama as a polycule between ZYC, ZYZ, and LL. Wen Xiao's "romance" was secondary to the true found family "bromances" that thrived throughout the drama.
It's this kinda shit that gives amazing dramas a bad name. People react too quickly without actually comprehending what they're watching and making snap judgements. The plot is easy AF to understand if you actually pay attention and wait for it to explain itself. Don't run to MDL for explanations, just watch it.
