I on the contrary think they showed his reasons and process on screen extensively enough for the viewers to be…
I agree with this wholeheartedly. I also think his therapist was absolutely shit at her job. She was argumentative, combative, and selfish. Her commentary over her relief that he didn't commit suicide because it would have affected *her job, and *her reputation. Oftentimes, their sessions were obscure and enshrouded in darkness; it always felt like it was partly happening in his head and often caught myself thinking, "is he really in this room? wtf is she even saying."
I do wish they'd given more space for a resolution to Jaewon's depression. It's not a light switch. Not even a…
I hope if there's a season 2, that this is expanded on. The societal backlash of their relationship, Jae Won's trauma, his relationship with his dad, navigating their relationship even as Jae Won graduates, etc. There's so much they can unpack.
I do wish they'd given more space for a resolution to Jaewon's depression. It's not a light switch. Not even a resolution, just...more? More of a climax to it, and an aftermath? I was hoping for a crying breakdown, or something. Not just..wandering around lost, a talking to at the eatery, then suddenly he's a functioning human again. Not to say he looked entirely healthy by the end, I can tell they tried to show that he's on the mend and better, not whole, but still. I wanted a bit more of that to be fleshed out in terms of him facing it and treating it.
Yo. Literally. How is anyone able to get through the CONSTANT. BELLIGERENT. SCREAMING. I have to watch this shit on mute. None of these kids watch a zombie movie? Screaming your face off, attracting the whole damn city of creatures. My god. Its making me rage so bad.
I totally get, on a logical level, why literal teenagers would act like this in such a scary, crazy situation, but ive watched plenty of young adult (and regular) zombie shows that didnt make my ears want to bleed. There are so many cool aspects of this drama i want to keep watching for, but these kids are BRUTAL to listen to.
The tonal shifts give me too much of a headache. They handle child abuse weirdly. It's a funny scene in one moment and a disturbing scene in the next. The abusive father figure has silly moments in one moment; then, he's scary and uncomfortable to watch the next. I don't know how to digest it. Secondary leads stole the show. The first FL bothers me with her hyperactive mood swings.
I wish he'd sing more. I love love love love his voice. I had this on repeat for weeks after I finished the drama, and it is back on my repeat list after finishing The Starry Love. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dzycWu6EFhk
I have to say it...I CANNOT STAND, LITERALLY CANNOT STAND BINGCHANG!!!! She is so on my last nerve. I want to…
Same. I'm in the middle of Ep 22 and I'm so annoyyyyedd with her. I'm also annoyed with our FL for believing BingChang AGAIN. Did she not learn from the dream sequence, to never believe any version of this woman? Ugh
at what point does our FL realize she truly loves our ML? Asking ambiguously because of the different character arcs/names. So far, we've seen her "love him" to protect him so he doesn't die before she can permanently kill him, and now she's "loving him" or attempting to, so that she can gain his love thread. It's fun to watch the hijinks and the flirting, but its also disingenuous and frustrating. Our ML has had a litany of betrayal, heartache, and abandonment. While he may not understand those feelings on a human, emotional level, it's unfair to watch him getting played over and over.
I like it as well. Liking it and missing TTJ to the bone are two separate things. I'm doing both.
same. I'm anxious to get back to the main storyline and the dream arc has been too tropey for me, but im still really enjoying it for a slew of other reasons.
