Oh, me too! The more I watch verticals, the more I've found that some of these vertical short actors really are the total package. They have the looks, height, voice/delivery, and probably most importantly, the acting chops. Ke Chun is definitely one of them. I truly hope he gets the chance to be the lead in something longer and/or more mainstream if that's what he wants. He would be fabulous and would bless our eyes with more screentime! πŸ‘€ β™₯️

Oh wow, that was better than I thought!!!! The ML is an amazing actor, I wish he would get bigger roles. I mean…
Agreed! His crying scenes in Save Myself and in this drama were superb. Also, wowsers for the office scene in this drama. The leads' continuous back and forth flirting in that scene was pretty spicy πŸ₯΅πŸ”₯! That said, I'm convinced that Ke Chun in all his glory with his impressive height, deep rich voice, and flirtatious grin would even have great chemistry with a signpost. πŸ˜‚ But seriously, he is definitely full-length drama leading man material!

I've just recently taken a tumble into the colossal abyss that is Vertical Dramas after having succumbed to Short Dramas & Web Series for a while now. Now, I often start watching a Short Series and simultaneously alternate with a Vertical Drama because they are just so bite-sized and easy to consume.

That said, I see your name Jwells on almost every Vertical Drama MDL page with links for easy viewing and I just have to smile. Your lists are also super helpful! A huge shout out, massive kudos, and thank you to you for all of your hard work! It's greatly appreciated! 😊
So, Grandpa and his ginormous fish finally bring the couple together, LOL! This was a cute, somewhat choppy in spots, short watch full of silly cliches and common tropes. Seriously, no one in these short or vertical dramas should ever drink anything, not even water! Beverages are almost always guaranteed to be laced with some type of drug and/or an aphrodisiac. You can certainly check your brain cells at the door for this one.

Also, you can find this under the title "Forged Vows" on Dailymotion just like user thehepburn mentioned below. If you watch it there, you can hear all the background music too which often gets removed due to copyright on YT. Enjoy!

Can't believe I got here before you Jwells! 🀭
Thank you so much for the links! FYI, the top and bottom link are the same source. I found one to add and will put it below as a spoiler. I can't thank Jwells and all who post links for these verticals enough! β™₯️

When I first watched one of his verticals (Fake Love), I really thought that he looked similar to Liu Yu Yang (the ML's sidekick in Embrace In The Dark Night). I seriously thought that they could be related. Then I thought that he also somewhat resembles Zhou Yi Ran, and lo and behold he was actually in When I Fly Towards You! Gorgeous actor and he's quite talented. I hope we can continue to enjoy more of his work in the future!

Title Blind Mind Spoiler

You're most welcome and thank you for asking! I think it was a really beautiful, short but emotional story of a blind man finding love. There wasn't a lot of their dating because it was so short, but we were shown how they made their connection. It was also implied that they were drawing closer by the roommate deciding to move out to give the ML his space and by the FL planning their date together. Her standing up for him in front of her "friends" by telling them that her relationship with him wasn't one of a "helper of a disabled person" was also touching. The scene when the ML told her that he thought she was beautiful after touching her face was quite moving. She felt bad for using him in the beginning, but he could sense that her feelings for him had grown to be more.

I also liked at the end that it showed the two of them walking side by side near the blind walkway, but not using it. Because he was arm in arm with her they were able to walk and talk together and enjoy each other's company without his blindness being an obstacle. They were shown as equals in the relationship. Or at least, I think that's what they were trying to convey. The FL saw him as a lover and a partner, not as a disabled person or someone to use in order to make herself look good. I liked that. Short, sweet, and enjoyable!

Yes, yes, and YES! I was waiting on this news and I'm so glad it's now official. I have been eager for RY to do another romance. ❀️ What he's done lately has been brilliant (as usual) but also pretty dark and dramatic. I agree with some other commenters on Ryusei's profile page that he's been sorely missed in the romance genre. This looks like the perfect mix of romance combined with a dark and dramatic emotional story. I can't WAIT for this to come out and to see Ryusei as a red flag. I thought Song Kang was great in the K-version, but with RY's visuals and charisma this is going to be a whole other level of πŸ”₯! RY simply smolders; he's going to carry this drama. Super high expectations for this!
On Panda Judges the World Nov 26, 2024
Well this was certainly a wild ride. It had a lot of plot holes and over-the-top scenes but I think the absurdity and twists were what made this drama special. Admittedly I watched this for RY while making my way through his works. He did not disappoint in this complex character role. You can tell that his character has a good heart that's been tainted by his pursuit of revenge. In a story that's all about separating the black and white from the gray areas, as another commenter previously mentioned, all the characters are varying shades of gray. And yes, almost ALL the characters were definitely nuttier than fruitcakes.

As for Ryusei, his acting was superb. His body language and eyes said it all. Also, the fight scenes (while perhaps a little staged) were well-choreographed and fun to watch. There was also an obvious fan service scene at the end of Episode 3 that wasn't part of the original script (RY mentioned it in this behind the scenes interview - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0-Bl8tt6o2k). Yes, gratuitous pull-ups scene I'm looking at you. Therefore, if you're wanting to check out Ryusei's subtle acting and/or catch a glimpse of him "working out", this drama might be for you.

Overall I really enjoyed this drama for what it was, loved Ryusei's acting, and would definitely watch it again! Now, if anyone knows where to watch the final two special episodes, has English subs for them, and/or could tell me what happened in them I would be super grateful! Please spoil me if you can!

Also, I couldn't help but wonder who makes all of that panda themed gear that Miss Panda wears? I just imagine…
This comment had me rolling. I think these types of plot holes and little nuances are what made the drama so special and humorous at times. I mean, how did Miss Panda get into those costumes? So often she just woke up as Panda and was like, "How did I get into this getup?" Did Naoki perhaps get a bit handsy with her, or was he somehow able to subliminally direct her to dress herself while unconscious?

Also, to think that Naoki may have designed all those special outfits himself? Hilarious. I think this comment from my personal AI says it all, "Naoki is quite the renaissance man! πŸŽπŸ’Ž His seemingly endless supply of Panda-themed attire hints at a well-rounded skill set, encompassing everything from mentalism and psychiatry to fashion design and DIY crafting. Perhaps his time spent plotting revenge also doubled as an opportunity to hone his glue gun skills, preparing him for a future career in costuming should the crime-fighting gig not work out. Naoki's dedication to Miss Panda's wardrobe is nothing if not impressive, and it adds a quirky, endearing quality to his character."

This was a one-time watch for me in order to check out Ryusei's acting prowess as I'm going through all of his works. His acting is phenomenal here; he once again proves that he's more than just a pretty face in this movie. In fact, for most of the movie he looks like a disheveled, scruffy, pitiful mess. I felt so sorry for his character in this movie as his life was just horribly tragic.

This movie is pretty dark and depressing. Therefore, if you're seeking something light-hearted and/or want to view Ryusei in all his gorgeous glory, this is not the film. Unless you really want to check out the cinematography and top-notch acting, you should probably just say "Noh" to this film because it might leave you feeling a bit down in the dumps afterward (puns intended).

It looks like VIU may have had it at one time (One.Last.Bloom.2024.WEBRip-VIU ?) because someone fairly recently posted English subs a few weeks ago here - https://subf2m.co/subtitles/haru-ni-chiru-2023/english/3543021

The subs seem off though compared to the link of the movie you posted (different duration), so they'd need to be edited and realigned to watch. But... gosh it's the closest to being able to view and understand this film since it came out!

Title The Lines that Define Me Spoiler
Really enjoyed this movie. The cinematography and art were gorgeous and the leads were also beautiful. I felt…
I really wanted to see Ryusei dominate that last giant ink picture. Instead, we only got to see him draw maybe three lines and then the movie cut to the ending. I wanted to see him go to town on that canvas and astound everyone with his focus and talent.

I wanted to see him totally healed and submersed in his craft, maybe to have won some awards (not just the newcomer award). Or, I would have liked to see him receive direct recognition from his sensei in the end. Like, the 'apprentice has become the master' or soon will in the future sort of thing. But, that's just my wishful thinking I guess since the film did allude to them moving forward in their lives.
