Was kinda worried how they were gonna conclude it after episode 8, as I really didn't want it to end with Makiko behind bars when she was arguably the biggest victim in this whole mess, but I'm very satified with how everything concluded and where everybody ended up. The ending made me breath a sigh of relief, while the surprise romantic ending put a smile on my face (well played, Junichi, well played).

Damn, the finale really rubs your nose in the fact that true justice isn't all that easy to achieve. There are some wins, there's some hope, but the bad guys mostly get away with everything. It feels scarily realistic and very in tune with the rest of the drama. And yet some of the victims are doing better, while our protagonists still very much live to fight another day. And maybe that's the most important victory to be had here.

The scary part is that Tae-joo doesn't even seem to realize the monster he's become. In trying to take down the monsters, he became one himself, while still trying to delude himself that he's the hero. His sister would be ashamed of him if she saw him now.

That romance tag never should've been there in the first place, as I don't think this was ever actually promoted or presented as a romance drama. I also don't think that tag was there originally, instead it was suddenly added around the time the drama premiered.

The whole thing of Jung-woo admitting to Kang Nora that he doesn't want another regret again shows that what him and Geum-bo need isn't a romantic reunion, but closure. That's the only ending for them that makes sense at this point imo.

Heck, even in this episode, Geum-bo doesn't act like somebody that still has real romantic feelings for him. She took him down without a second thought, and now she's using him to get what she wants (as she should).

The real main relationship here has always been Geum-bo and Bok-hee, and I love their development and how far they've come. And I can't wait to see them (hopefully) win and get everything they want. Not gonna lie, the ending should just be them on the beach together (potentially with Kang Nora and Mi-sook).

I owe Seong-gyu an apology. I was yelling at him when I thought he did the most stupid thing in the history of stupid things, only for it to actually be a briliant thing. Well played.

Also, either Tae-ju is really good at pretending to be the nice guy, or I'm going to owe this guy a very big apology to by the end of all this. But from how things are looking right now, he's still very much a suspect.

I'm gonna need Jun-ho and Noa to end up together lol. Based on the preview, she might actually break up with her boyfriend next week, so there's that.

You described exactly why they wouldn't work, and why this romance doesn't work. This entire "romance" is based upon the past, based upon the fact they are exes. There's not actually any present day romance, all there is is a remembrance of the past. Basically, I see two options: either the writer doesn't want us to root for them to end up together, or the writer wants us to root for them to end up together just because they are exes (something they spend all of 5 minutes on, mind you). And I'm really hoping it's the first. They don't need romance, they need closure.

Min-seo being the green hoodie isn't actually all that shocking all things considered. Let's be real, she was probably just following orders and trying to survive, and I refuse to blame her for that. Is it right? Of course not, but this drama has consistently shown us that even the good guys are flawed, and that there is no such thing as the "perfect victim".

Also, since we never saw that laptop actually being handed over, was she acting under orders this episode, or did she just save Seon-hwa's life?

I mean, the supposed leads haven't actually had any romantic scenes yet outside of their 5 minute flashback montage in episode 2. The only romantic aspect here is the fact that they're exes. Remove that, and you have nothing left outside of their chemistry (which is subjective, but chemistry alone does not build a romance). You could argue she's had romantic moments with Albert, but whether she actually sees him as a possible romantic partner is highly debatable.

Also, I might be wrong, but I don't think this drama was ever promoted as a romance drama. Heck, I don't even know where the romance tag here came from, because I remember it being suddenly added after the drama premiered.

I'm sorry, but Jung-woo is a coward, and Geum-bo deserves better than a coward. I don't actually dislike him as a character necessarily, I just really dislike him as a love interest. I think he's way more interesting as this "shady guy" than he is as the "male romantic lead".

Luckily this drama is really about the 4 women. They are very much the leads in this, and their bond represents the heart of this drama (even the opening credits hint at this). This drama really fires on all cylinders when they are the focus, which luckily, is most of the time.

Have to say, that 9-year time jump caught me off guard. I initially thought they'd go for the most heartbreaking scenario and have Koharu die shortly after the fireworks, but (luckily) that's not what happened. Seems like we did actually get a bit of miracle: she passed away, but it does seem like she did live on for quite a bit (the ending doesn't really make sense otherwise). We don't really have any clear answers, but it seems like they actually got married? And had a kid?! A sad ending was inevitable, but there's a lot of beauty in the thought that Koharu was happy for a while, and that she (with Kakeru) did make a lot of her dreams come true.

So good, and so heartbreaking (but also really beautiful in a way). You know it's going to break your heart, but it does it so well, you just can't stop watching.

Sure, the scenes they have aren't bad, but now imagine how much better they'd be if I actually had a reason to care about them.

I really don't know what the drama is doing with the romance angle honestly. If they want me to root for her to end up with Jung-woo, they're doing a horrible job at it. If they want me to root for her to end up alone or with Albert, they're actually doing a pretty good job. Geum-bo's relationship with the girls (the highlight of the drama), and even her relationship with Albert now, has everything her relationship with Jung-woo doesn't: actual development.

Are we supposed to root for Geum-bo and Jung-woo just because she's the FL and he's the ML or something? Like, Jung-woo has basically no screentime, and his relationship with Geum-bo has no development. You could say "that'll come later", but then I'd say it's already too late. These two are literally exes, and their past relationship has not been given an ounce of focus. All we got was a flashback montage consisting of two scenes. If that was supposed to make me care, it didn't. Sure, he'll probably end up on the same side as her, simply because he's the ML and that's just the obvious thing. But do I care about it, or do I actually root for that to happen? I'm sorry, but I don't, because you've simply not given me any reason to actually care about that.

Part of the problem with that is, she was only made aware of his circumstances after the fact. He gave his reason afterwards, which makes it sound more like an excuse. I also don't really think his reason holds up perfectly, because he really should've just sent her a text saying he was going into work. Sending a simple text doesn't really interfere with the time she was spending with her mother.

Sure, the whole thing was definitely selfish on her side too, but she also apologized for that. In the end, the effort to communicate with and trying to understand/ getting to know each other is something that should really come from both sides.
