I think it's her kid? She had a photo of a kid in episode 2. Seems to be the only explanation for everything to me.

Aren't those No Tail To Tell numbers on the very low side for an SBS weekend drama? It's too early to tell for Undercover Miss Hong, but everything else is doing good.

That was set up from the very beginning though. It's not even that she's evil neccesarily, it's just that hers and KDW's values differ too much at this point for them to actually be on the same side.

A case of diminishing returns. This season disappointed me. It's not bad, it's just kind of average. In case this gets a 4th season (unlikely at this point), the writer is gonna have to try a bit harder, because I don't think I want one otherwise.

The final episode ended on both a bang and a wimper. The case was kinda whatever, but I really liked Elements and all the past character from this season coming back. That really was a high point. But because of that, the actual final confrontation just ended up feeling a bit tacked on. They'd already turned the villain into a joke by that point, and it really just felt like the drama suddenly wanted to be dramatic and emotional just for the sake of it. I was never actually worried, and I just ended up rolling my eyes at the whole thing (the season overall just had a lack of actual stakes or danger as well).

Like, I love that they brought back my favorite S1 OST, but other than that the "cliffhanger" was disappointing. Like, Do-ki came to a conclusion but we have no idea how the heck he even came to that conclusion? Okay, I guess? Was that supposed to be emotional or something?

That's exactly why she was wavering, because she knows he's a good person. All she wanted was for him to be honest, but he pushed her to continue (almost as if that's exactly what he wants).

Not that crazy because he literally did remember. The fact her parents are deaf really narrows it down a lot.

I still think Kang David has this all in hand. We only got to that moment in the end because he quite literally told Gi-Ppeum to defeat him. Is he even trying to win this case? Or does he actually want the Pro Bono team to win this case?

I'm thinking Kang David probably has some kind of secret plan here, and I'm also thinking that him and the Pro Bono team being on opposite sides might be exactly what he wants. Because in the end, the Pro Bono team only did what he taught them. He never actually gave them clear answers either, and any good lawyer would've found that suspicious. It's almost as if he wants them to think that he's guilty...

Again, if you're innocent, why make yourself look guilty? Either he's stupid, actually guilty, or he's doing it intentionally. And we all know he's not stupid.

This is exactly why kdrama rom-coms generally shouldn't be longer than 12 episodes. Because after the writers run out of story to tell, they just come up with bullshit instead. More episodes will fix absolutely nothing if you don't have enough story to tell. One could even argue this writer didn't even have enough proper story ideas to fill 12 episodes.

Probably not intentionally. But they basically wrote themselves into a corner, especially with Seon-woo, so they just kinda threw in a time jump to try and fix that (which obviously just ends up feeling random & unsatisfying).

Tropes & cliches are usually not the problem, but rather, it's how you use them. This drama did this well... right up until they ran out of ideas in the second half. If you just use tropes & cliches to cover up that you ran out of story to tell, it's not exactly a surprise people don't like it. Heck, even the secondary couples were done dirty, because the drama literally just gave them a time jump instead of actually developing them on-screen (and don't tell me that they didn't have time, they had 14 freaking episodes).

Also, did they really just remember Da-rim's sister only to then immediately forget again? Like, come on...

Episode count is definitely relevant though. But the thing is: do writers these days actually have enough proper story planned for 12 episodes? And obviously, the more episodes, the worse it gets. Because these days it often feels like writers planned out 4 or so episodes, and after that they just kinda start throwing things at the wall and hope it sticks.

Sooner or later people will stop celebrating when they see a new drama has more than 12 episodes. Because that's usually not a good sign these days.

Not sure how realistic the resolution to this case was (probably not very), but I prefer this over what happened last week. At least we didn't ignore the woman, or the actual issue this week, so the resolution actually works on an emotional level and feels kinda satisfying, even it's not fully realistic.

Also, Nan-hui slamming those things on the table was exactly what I wanted to do during this episode. Because, damn, this episode infuriated me (exactly as it was supposed to).

Episode 5 felt overly long and slow (don't think it needed to be 75 minutes long), but the How Long Will I Love You scene was cool.

Yeah, the lack of team work is one of my main problems this season. Heck, Kim Eui Sung has like 2 or 3 scenes an episode at this point. Even in the previous case which initially started with him and his backstory he ended up becoming irrelevant.

I honestly don't know why people are confused about the story? Putting aside the fact that the sci-fi story is kinda ridiculous, I don't really think this is a surprising movie, as the movie simply makes everything too obvious. You knew a sci-fi "twist" was coming because they kept talking about it in the first half. And An-na literally spells out the entire plot of the second half of the movie in the space shuttle before the second half even properly begins, so at that point you're just waiting for her to find her son, a journey that sadly never becomes as emotional as it should, as most of the emotion is saved for when she actually finds him. What follows is a predictable ending I figured out 50 minutes in.

Long story short: Kim Da-mi does her best in a ridiculous yet overly predictable sci-fi story, that is never quite emotional or intense enough to really make it work. But at least it looks cool?
