I know, right. When he said he wasn’t sharing his noodles, I couldn’t believe it. Definitely lost points with…
I mean the other commenter just mentioned it after you mentioned it. I t could be implied but nobody brought it out so far. He could have mean it but you sound as if a lot of people mentioned it here.
I see a lot of Shi Oh - Nam Soon shippers here and some really seem to be rational in what they say and what they observe. I thought you were the same at first. Like it's okay if you like the villain. But now I clearly see that you are biased from the start. It's Wooseok that you like and not character on it's own.
I'm not harassing you. My replies to you were actually very neutral and very careful not until I realized that you were distorting some facts for your own personal agenda.
I won't reply on your comments moving forward and will just ignore whatever you say.
I know, right. When he said he wasn’t sharing his noodles, I couldn’t believe it. Definitely lost points with…
I don't know, but I'm starting to find your comments very funny. Like moving forward I'm not gonna take you seriously. You're clearly Wooseok's fan who can't accept that he isn't the ML. You're clearly delusional and your interpretation of things is clearly biased.
You take every opportunity to say that Hee Sik is not a perfect fit for Nam Soon and that Nam Soon only thinks of him as a brother. You make all his actions towards Nam Soon as something boring and not worthy of him being an ML. While you disregard Shi Oh's evil actions just because he has a sob back story and that makes him worthy of Nam Soon's attention.
I've read the comments here and as far as I see, no one is even mentioning sex here regarding the ramen. So I don't know why you have to comment it.
Strong Woman Do Bong Soon's main focus was Do Bong Soon herself, how Ahn Minhyuk (the ML) helps her as his boss…
To add, I feel like one of the message of this drama is to show that money can't buy everything and is not the solution to the problems. The mother likes to flaunt her wealth and doesn't care much about the feelings of others as long as she provides them money. She's grateful to those who help her but she thinks that she can just return her gratitude through money also.
I'm hope that I'm right though. For me, it's kinda giving Sky Castle vibes or typical rich family with parents who ignores their child plot.
I know, right. When he said he wasn’t sharing his noodles, I couldn’t believe it. Definitely lost points with…
For me, I find it cute. Heesik defintely knows that it's not the noodles that Nam Soon was after that's why he said that as a way of teasing her. I respect that you think they have no chemistry but I find them really cute and just right for each other.
I think there first kiss was just right. Nam Soon is painted as a very childish and somewhat innocent character.…
I think it's because Kang Heesik is still kinda in denial in front of Nam Soon. You can still see he is holding back so maybe that's why. That's how I interpret it.
exact same thoughts tbh. no one's even talking about his acting skills - they are just drooling fkdjsdsjf
So I'm right then with my observation that there are a lot of Byeon Wooseok fans here who are maybe just disappointed that he is still not the ML again in this drama. That's why all they say is the villain is hot and the ML is boring.
I mean what if the roles are reversed? Byeon Woo Seok plays Heesik and Ong Seongwu plays the villain, Will they say the same that the villain is more interesting than Kang Heesik?
Wait till his villanous personality really kicks in and tries to harm the MLs then everyone will start badmouthing…
True. I mean if you follow the storyline, you'll not root for his character. In this case, you'll hate him. But you can still root for the actor and praise him if they think he does a good job at the role he is given.
Every single drama that had Byeon woo seok as the main character, people were rooting for him instead of the main…
I haven't watched any of Byeon Woo Seok's works so don't know the reactions of people to those. For this drama, I can see people still rooting for Kang Hee Sik when I look at other posts about this in other platforms. Like they acknowledge that for a villain, Byeon Woo Seok looks fine. But for those who actually watch the drama without basing on the actors looks, I see most of the root for the ML, though of course there are some also rooting for the villain.
I guess it's just that Byeon Woo Seok fans are really loud so you kinda see them all commenting that. Probably disappointed that he's not the main lead so they're pushing him no matter what.
Zero chemistry between Nam Soon and Hee Sik. You call that a kiss??? Omg the way she was teasing him and the way…
I think there first kiss was just right. Nam Soon is painted as a very childish and somewhat innocent character. So a peck as a first kiss is just right. It fits their character. Not all kisses have to be passionate for one to say that they have chemistry.
Strong Woman Do Bong Soon's main focus was Do Bong Soon herself, how Ahn Minhyuk (the ML) helps her as his boss and her romance (love triangle between her, her crush (the cop) and her boss, Ahn Minhyuk. It is all written in the synopsis.
Strong Girl Nam Soon is about the 3 generation of women born with super strength who somehow found themselves involved in a drug investigation which the ML, Kang Heesik, is part of. It's main focus is not only about the FL, Nam Soon and her romance. It's more of like a family drama. The different members of the their family and what goes on in their household. That's why there's a lot of different plots. I see it like a sitcom. It has a lot of different subplots but I can see them all connected with one another. Like everybody has a role and not just some random passerby. I just hope that they can wrap it up nicely in the end.
The focus of the two dramas are very different. If you're looking for a romance like Do Bong Soon and Ahn Minhyuk, you won't find it here. Especially since they have different family backgrounds. It was kinda implied that the romance aspect isn't the main focus that's why moving forward, I'm not disappointed.
The mom, although she acts like a superhero who wants to save the world, she's actually a terrible mother which is really shown here by her actions and words. The way he ignores Nam In, shames him for his weight and focuses more on her business and drug investigation. I think that is intentional and would like to see her realize that she contributed to whatever happened to Nam In.
I actually like the ML in this drama, Kang Hee Sik. We know nothing yet about his back story except that he seems to come from an affluent background (basing on his apartment and car) and that he became a cop because of his brother.
For a cop, he sure is clumsy at times, but I enjoy the different undercover roles he does. He'll do anything just so that he can have additional information for the investigation. He's quite comical too and have different varied expressions. Even without a backstory, I find him entertaining and that's what keep me interested in knowing more about him. Though I hope they will reveal also more about his family background especially that his mom made an appearance at the start.
But most of all, I like how he treats Nam Soon. For sure he's very slow in the romance aspect, but I see it that he's just being careful and that he just wants to confirm his feelings towards Nam Soon. After all, they didn't know each other for a long time yet. I like the fact that he wasn't attracted to Nam Soon because of her super strength and super powers. I think at first he just found her amusing but as time goes by he found himself falling for her as he gets to know more about her.
The ML actually does a lot for the show. Not to the level of Ahn Minhyuk of SWDBS because Ahn Minhyuk has his own plot line compared to Kang Heesik, but still enough that we get a lot of varied expressions from him and a lot of acting from Ong Seongwu.
Hoping that we get more Nam Soon scenes especially with Hee Sik. After all, the show is named after Nam Soon.
I feel like will get the real romance in the last 2 episodes. Hahahaha. I actually don't mind though as long as they wrap up the loose ends from the subplots. Also as long as they still have those cute moments every now and then.
I'm actually enjoying the show. It's fun and light and something you should not take seriously. It will be comic book-ish which is evident in the poster of this drama.
People keep on complaining that it's all about drugs, I mean haven't you read the synopsis??? It's literally there. If you don't like the drug investigation case, then don't watch it. No one is forcing you.
If you read the character description, Byeon Wooseok was called the villain from the start not second male lead. He is a main character because he is the antagonist of this show. He has a big role and it doesn't necessarily mean he has a love line. I feel like those who complain that the show is boring are just some Byeon Wooseok fans who thought he was the main lead just because they saw some edits of Nam Soon and Shi Oh and also SWDBS fans who can't help but trash this drama. Though I saw some fans of SWDBS still enjoy this drama. I mean, why do you keep on continue watching this if you don't enjoy it and that you just continue to compare it with SWDBS until the end?
I know this drama will not be everyone's cup of tea, so you are free to drop it. It might be boring for you, but I see some people who generally enjoy this and I'm one of them.
I don't know if it's just me, but I'm actually enjoying the different characters in this drama. The poster for this drama clearly shows that it will be different than SWDBS, so stop comparing the two. They have different storyline.
The mother's characterisation as well as her acting and makeup and too much of a plastic face are unbearable.…
I hate the way she treats her family too. But I'm kinda hoping that it is intentional and a major plot point. It's been pointed out that she ignores Nam In compared to Nam Soon so maybe what happened to Nam In would make her care more about her son. There's also a dialogue between Nam Soon and Hee Sik wherein Hee Sik is telling Nam Soon for her to be good to her twin brother. So I think the writers now that Nam In is being ignored.
He seems to genuinely hate Geum Joo (Nam Soon's mother) though and wants her dead.
Yeah, I mean whatever you said could be possible given the possible backstory of Shi Oh. That's why I commented. But just want to point out that he hates other people also and not just the mafia. He wants people to die including Nam Soon's mother.
I count all the main lead scenes every episodes and Nam Soon leads every week. It may appear the mom has more…
I'm not really counting the number of minutes but I guess I'm basing it more on what Nam Soon does that's why I said that hopefully she gets more screentime. During the start, Nam Soon does indeed have more screen time, but I guess Geum Joo just have more different interactions with the characters lately than NamSoon so making her more visible. Though I'm not really complaining since I enjoy Geum Joo scenes. It's just that if the title is a certain character, you would have to feel that she's the main central character of the show. With most of interactions supposedly revolving around her. Anyway, I think it will change a bit basing on the preview of the episodes.
I believe that Shi Oh doesn't have any romantic intentions towards Nam Soon, personally I think he's just manipulating her to get to her to his side. I don't find it romantic.
For me, I think Hee Sik and Nam Soon has onscreen chemistry. Although quite short, there are a lot of scenes together where it can be seen. Nam Soon can be seen flirting with him. They have undercover scenes, but they also have the scene at the party where they are talking about something personal, there's also that scene where Nam Soon was drinking and got hurt and he piggybacked her. Then there was the time when they were eating at a cafe. Those are not undercover scenes, though I admit they are short. You could see them smiling to each other though Hee Sik is still in denial mode that's why he doesn't freely smile at her like a fool in love but he does this little smile whenever he's with Nam Soon. But Nam Soon has shown affection towards him though not always since they are focused with the mission. Nam Soon not acting romantic towards Hee Sik? There's literally a scene where she was rolling on the bed because she keeps on thinking about Hee Shik. During down times, she's always smiling at him. Her smile is genuine towards Hee Shik unlike her smile towards the villain.
I'm watching Lee You Mi in Strong Girl Nam Soon and got reminded of this drama. This is where I first saw her, even before Squid Game. Really loved this show and enjoyed the mystery and suspense. I guess it's time for me to watch it again.
If you have time, I suggest that you should try it out and judge for your own. Some people genuinely enjoy watching…
You're welcome. :) Not sure what kind of dramas you like, but I must warn you it's a very unserious show. It tackles some social issues but most of the time the scenes are done for comedic purposes.
