On Something in the Rain Aug 30, 2020
I realise I’m in the minority when I say this . The ending was more than fine . Honestly - it could have been way less fleshed out and it would have still made sense for the type of story it presented itself as. The symbolism of the last 25 minutes of the finale was purely stunning. Honestly- the director was showing off.

Also - it’s a realistic drama . Life doesn’t have sweet and neat finishings . I’m glad there were loose ends in the story because in real life / usually there are loose ends done in with time . This drama really was something else! The realism is beautiful

Thank you for your meticulous review. I have seen more and more dramas ROMANTICIZING MENTAL HEALTH ISSUES. Unfortunately,…
Very interesting that you who took care of patients with mental health found this drama some what lacking ! I actually applaud you for dropping ! It means you didn’t placate the hype !

It’s quite unfortunate that this drama just didn’t do anything on the substance side . I agree with you about the FL too. OJS was just amazing too!

I am glad you like my review. Thank you so much for your engagement!

Review It's Okay to Not Be Okay Spoiler
So true ... what exactly was Ko Munyeoung’s mental illness ? We will never know . I agree that tropes were definitely…
You have embodied the problem with show very well . Why we saw was a toxic relationship romanticised and zero emphasis on professional treatment for growth and improvement . If they just said that KMY staying with the Moon brothers was a form of psycho social support - the we could say that maybe IONTBO was a sort of education but it just skirted around everything mental health!

I am sooooo glad you enjoyed my review and yes ! Please use it as see fit . I am thoroughly appreciate your engagement!

Deceiving is quite an apt description for this drama. From the vagueness of her condition (since it was never…
So true ... what exactly was Ko Munyeoung’s mental illness ? We will never know .

I agree that tropes were definitely overused and it wasn’t satisfying for the viewer at all.

Haha! “Perhaps it was healing for those suffering superficial wounds “ that’s sooooo funny yet apt !

Thank you so much for reading my review and finding it helpful .

I 100% agree with this review . People are letting it get a pass because it’s healing and pretty . It was super cliche and became a bit of a mess in the end . Thanks for your review!

I want to looooove this drama but I'm struggling to even find it fluid. The plot is static but its also healing in the sense that the viewer is highly satisfied with character growth but substance is severely lacking . It should actually be more slice of life with a very clear vehicle in mental health but this drama selling itself short on the meta , world building and psychology as theres too much emphasis on style .

Review W Spoiler
First off - I am super honored that a super fan of W found my review good. Super appreciate it.I can definitley…
You have adequately explained my questions by using screen play terms . I liked your take on 'sustainable choice' and the use of an autonomus principle. There is a principle of the absurd in W that one needs to take into conideration too which you are very right in. Oh yeon Joo definitley had the mechnanic of the manhwa.

Thank you so much for this very comprehensive explanation.

Your season 2 sounds very good ! Well done.

By the way- what are your other fave dramas?
