His British accent jumpscared me because I'm so used to hearing American accents, but he studied at Northampton so it makes sense. Just finished Secret Ingredient and while I felt some of his lines fell slightly short emotionally, I'll give him credit for the moments he shone since he's new (and he's a fellow Brit - kinda!).
Thank you for your review - your thoughts make perfect sense. I'll go into this one with lower expectations, becuase I realise I was really looking forward to this show.
A Chinese (presumably Mandarin) dubbed show which is filmed in Thailand, where some of the actors are clearly speaking Thai, with a good number of Thai cast and crew members and featuring some classic Thai BL SFX. A combination that I might have loved for the sheer campy potential, had it not been for how little patience I have for the jarring dubbing.
From the trailer this looks really fun, but I'm gonna give this one time because it was only released this month! I don't wanna get my hopes up on this one getting subbed, so I'll leave it in my untraceable titles list and hope it does eventually get subs.
Or I'll (eventually) learn Thai so I can watch all those unsubbed films/lakorns I wanna see!
What about us international fans? When will we be able to see the movie?
At least it's likely we'll get it! There are so many Thai films I really wanna watch that aren't available subbed or even raw, so I'm staying hopeful for this one!
