haha I don't think the way she talks will change. It's Esther Yu's persona as an idol/celebrity in real life and she dubbed her character herself in this drama. I highly doubt that she was naturally born with that voice tho, she obviously fake it but that uniqueness is selling well. I understand some people will get annoyed with the way she talks (me too, when I discovered her for the first time I also thought she was super cringe with that fake cutesy voice but my impression of her has completely changed because she actually has good personality and fun to watch, like a mood booster in the show). So my advise is bear with it or drop it if it really bothers y'all cause your wish of voice change will never happen ><

Yup... liuliang is not everything, it's basically just traffic stars with huge, strong fandom power. Ni Ni doesn't have huge fandom but she has wide public recognition and she managed to be A-list purely because of her acting & hit projects. Plus she is one of Zhang Yimou girls... who doesn't know Zhang Yimou 😂 People who think Ni Ni is not popular probably just international fans who think liuliang is everything lol. There are maaany popular and critically acclaimed actors/actresses like Zhou Xun, Chen Kun, Zhang Ziyi, Sun Li, Gong Li, etc who are not even liuliangs yet super famous

Exactly. Ni Ni definitely has good resources in both movies and dramas. I don't mean to brag or downplay other actresses, but in the end of the day... everyone who mostly plays idol dramas wants to have what Ni Ni has. I'm NOT saying Ni Ni is the best or has the best resources, no. Don't get me wrong.... What I mean is, everybody who follows C-ent knows main theme dramas is >>>>>>>. Having many dramas but mostly idol dramas is nothing unless the result becomes mega hit and can bring someone into super high stardom and leads to better resources and start getting main drama offer for better future and more challenging roles. I'm not jealous Ni Ni doesn't play dramas as many as other actress, because she already has the luxury of getting main roles in main theme dramas. Even A-list celebrities with huge fandom (not A-list actor/actress, just A-list celebs that happened to be actor/actress cuz these things are different) are willing to be 3rd or 4th billing just to play with real A-list actor/actress in main dramas/movies. Anyway, i'm not making up things haha 😂 even Liu Yuning (A-list celebrity + liuliang but not A-list actor) said bluntly that most idol dramas only need actors to be attractive and have good image, and he said he does idol historical dramas because he can't act lol. I love his honesty and straightforwardness even tho I think his acting was good enough 😂
Also, no hate for idol dramas... I love watching idol dramas too and my other faves also take idol dramas a lot. I just hope the best for them and they'll get better resources in the future and won't stuck playing idol dramas.

It's because Ni Ni prefers main dramas, not idol dramas. Main dramas are hard to get and the availability is not as many as idol dramas... even top celebrities must ‘fight’ to get it, depends on how good their resources are. Plus in China you're considered as “serious” actor/actress if your work are mostly main dramas. It doesn't mean other actresses who are mostly play idol dramas are bad tho... just that for long term carreer idol dramas are not good
