The one thing that put me off in this drama was that 1 single episode whereshe overcame her PTSD from childhood…
For me it was kind of implied she had been working through it for a long time, there was even a scene where she tried to make the color, and she said in severas episodes that soon she would be abre to do it. I guess the storytelling could be better, but it wasn't as sudden as it seems.
This suffer from stupid-police-officers syndrome, unnecessary love square, bad integration between plot lines and some really annoying characters. Everything else is OK.
It gets better after 3 episodes of running around tails and I enjoyed it despiste all the problems, but I think there is one unforgivable flaw in this season - the new characters are so unremarkable I couldn't root for them, and the old ones we were attached to are so miserable and have so little screen time , I kinda stopped caring. They really messed up the best thing about S1.
Jdramas like to 'experiment', that's why I'm always a bit speculative before starting a jdrama lol
That's true, they always bring surprises...I am okay with the ending of the original drama, that kind of things happens in real life. I can't see that ending fitting here though, but who knows? I am only at ep 6, so...
It's been a loooong time since I saw the Japanese version, but I think they changed the characters a lot. I am pretty sure the age range is different, the FML was a lot younger in the j drama. The plot seems different too. So I hope they change the ending too. The way things happened made sense for the Japanese characters, but would be completely off for these two .
NYZ has been pretty smart and leves headed so far... So I am curious where all that brainpower went when he decided to cool her down in the stupidest way possible🤦
I guess Zheng Qing Yu actor is now doomed to bem typecast as the weakling/untrustworthy male in every drama... As soon as I see his face, I just want slap it in advance.
Officially dropping this one...I forced myself to watch because I was curious about the homeless couple (I am in a Joo Woo Jae binge lately). But I saw a spoiler about them and got even more disappointed with this drama. This is a real mess. Not the concept in itself, but the way they execute it is terrible. The comedy is not fun, the characters are not engaging, the plot is a mess. They tried to tackle some social issues to make it more relatable, I guess, but it is very childish and on your face.
It's scaring me how people are expecting a redemption arc to the psycho drug dealer who is bent on killing all fl's family (and anyone that looks at him weird). It's obvious fron the start that the romance is one sided, so it would be a lot weirder if Nam Soon suddenly fell in love, threw away all she loves and believes in to save the monster and forgive him for trying to kill her family.
This one seems to be more over the top than SWDBS, and it weirded me out at first, but after two episodes I got used to it. What's with all the preaching, though? In 2 episodes, they already discussed housing prices, drugs, police work... Nothing against tackling social issues in drama, but this wasn't done in an organic way. I hope they slow it down on the next episodes...
I just wish we had nore information about Min Hui. The drama shows a lot about Xin Qi background, his family, his sob story... but nothing about Min Hui, her family, how she ended up on that town, ... We actually know more about Chen Jia Jun and Cao Mu than about her.
It took me 10 ep to be sure both sisters were the same actress... she did well with the roles. I just relly got it because halfway they mixed up the styling of both sisters and messed everything up.
I hope he doesn't die in this one though...
