i'm so late to the party watching this right now but it reminds me of my mister, revisiting that ambiguous love that transcends romantic love. two people supporting each other at their lowest through silent, gentle regard.
JYJ is needed. The whole point of his character is that he’s part of DE grand plan to revenge. He taught her…
God, I just wished KES kept it platonic. It just makes so much more sense to me because romance is the last thing they need right now. What they're looking for is someone akin to a family member and that's something I think many of us can get behind.
it really depends on what you define as "good" since all the characters introduced so far are more or less teetering on (or have completely fallen off) the moral scale. in yeo-jung's case, he hasn't been shown to do anything "bad" yet but he's definitely embracing his dark side in s2.
Am i the only one who doesn’t get why everyone in the comments likes the husband and want the FL to be with…
do-young's character is really hard to figure out but he's intentionally written that way. don't remember who said it (it might be jae-joon) but they mentioned how you have to look at do-young closely to see him for who he truly is. the show does a great job withholding certain details from us to keep us on our toes LOL. but i agree, dong-eun and do-young's supposed romance should just be seen as a game of GO.
out of all the characters, yeo-jung fascinates me the most. to me, his gravitation towards dong-eun is more than just attraction; he sees her as what he truly desires to be. dong-eun made it her life's mission to get revenge on yeon-jin and not once did she waver or question her actions -- and i think her thirst for vengeance is what truly made yeo-jung turn to her side. he wants that for himself too, that toughness and unfettered brutality.
i know there's a lot of mixed feelings about yeo-jung and dong-eun's pairing and i just want to say that i agree about the lack of romantic chemistry between the characters. and i'm totally okay with it because it makes more sense that way, at least to me.
they care deeply for each other despite not saying much and that's what they needed -- a silent presence, a lifeline to grab onto when the world got too much. dong-eun didn't have that growing up and neither did yeo-jung when his father died. and when they found each other, especially yeo-jung, how could they just let go? misery loves company, but there's comfort in that. comfort in knowing that there's someone who shares your pain and unspokenly understands you in ways no one else could. romantic or not, i find their relationship very important.
"it's okay to rely on me, you're not alone now." "it's okay to rely on me, i'll give you my strength."
Youngwoo put up the letter in place of the sunflower painting so she could remember that winning a case is not the ultimate goal, but to bring forth the truth and achieve justice. Her competition with Attorney Kwon got in the way and clouded her judgement, thinking that if she didn't win, she would get booted out. I wanna give her a hug ;__;
She's pregnant!! The last two episodes were such a blast :D Although I'm still irked about Prince Youngpyeong shielding Hwajin and keeping mum about the ledger like ???
everyone seems to hold the drama so close to their heart, and well, me too ༎ຶ‿༎ຶ
it's such a refreshing and cozy drama! light-hearted, funny, meaningful, and calm. not to mention, the cinematography is excellent (bless the team behind the colour-grading :'))
please release my changu!!!!
