but my advice to you: you shouldn't trust chinese fans of any fandom too much. they have their own ways of doing things over there including twisting things to their narrative, sometimes to push fans to do data, sometimes so that the fandom would spend money on their faves, sometimes to rally them to boycott. it's called "abusing fans" and every chinese fandom does this. you have to be objective and not just follow blindly.

what his agency was referring to was that they couldn't respond right away because things were still forming, nothing is complete overnight. it was in terms of which platform the show would air on, they said they were waiting to see if it'd be iqiyi or dual platform with tencent before signing on. billing order was still in discussion too since fans were asking. if his agency was the one forcing him, why would they say anything that would hint that he's being forced? to make the fans even more mad at them?
