Hierachy was in global top 10 for 4 weeks, and it totaled 13.6 million viewers during that 4 weeks.
But to be honest, the Whirlwind wasn't that good overall. I hate the totally unnecessary ending.

Many dramas started having filler episodes before the end, but I have been enjoying every episodes so far. Hope it keeps up till the end, it's looking good so far.

No, the death threat was if he was to lose the case; and he threatened FL that she must win/get the case dismissed.
He never said he was going to kill her right away.
So there was no immediate threat, and no reason to go to police right away. She probably would notify the police if the divorce was successful.

But that's the problem. Yes, it avoided all the cliche, but at the same time, there is No story, No events, No excitement, No climax, basically, nothing much happening.
Only romance can only carry you so far. Even 8 episodes is too long. Maybe suitable for a short movie, to be honest.

The drama was a good watch.
Though it became a bit formulaic - each side takes turn to have the upper hand; it was still interesting to see what way they used to gain the upper hand.
So it became a bit predictably unpredictable.

However, the ending was so unnecessary.
It was exactly like "Sign"'s ending.
In the end, it was all for nothing as the ending could be the same regardless whether ML took this drastic action.
Also disappointing that it was so cliche that the villains would confess everything in front of the hidden camera. Sure, why not turn off the TV just before we start confessing all the evil things we have done? And why not have a live broadcast as if someone has a crystal ball that the villains would confess everything in front of the nation?
Could have been so good if the last two episodes continue the momentum and creativity of the previous ones.

Korea is doing well so far in this Olympics with 5 gold, and SBS's Olympics coverage has been #1 TV ratings.
So any drama broadcasted at the same time would see ratings drop.
Airing after the Olympics when people don't need to worry about switching channels to watch the Korean team may not be bad actually.

It is now getting frustrating and annoying to watch.

Ep 13 is mostly fillers unfortunately. And Im Sun is getting a bit annoying.
