You were the one who brought up QOT as a comparison, calling that as biased rating. I am just stating the fact the MDL's rating is distorted and does not reflect real world popularity or TV ratings. No matter how you felt about QOT, it was a mega hit and very well received and well loved in Korea, breaking many records. I wish LR's ratings would continue to go up in the last 6 episodes, but there is no chance that it can surpass that of QOT.

All these overseas viewers don't bring in any profit or benefits to the production team, especially when it doesn't air in major streaming platform like Netflix or Disney Plus or Prime; as most probably watched pirated source. The actors' and actresses' income do not benefit either.
The only thing which counts is Korea TV ratings, this directly benefits the actors and actresses when their income would get boosted substantially; and of course revenues to the TV stations and production team. Major streaming platform like QOT in Netflix brings in international recognition, but probably don't have much direct benefit like a mega hit in Korea.

Bias rating is when it is completely out of touch with the real world ratings. Look at Korea TV ratings for QOT, then compare it with the TV ratings for LR. Based on real life TV ratings, MDL's QOT ratings is actually underrated; while MDL's LR ratings is way overrated, regardless of how you and I feel about the two dramas.
