Much better than I initially thought. Kinda slow in the start, but the ball really starts to roll in the 2nd half. I got teary-eyed remembering my own dad's restaurant during a few eps (i-i) and I appreciated the unique story plus humor!

When binging this i recommend downloading a chrome extension that helps speed up the episode playback speed. Im on episode 30 now and its getting REALLY DRAGGY so I'm mostly watching at 1.6x speed um so yeah just a heads up its really helped me

I totally agree! I feel like every other episode its just fight and makeup/ rinse and repeat (its kind of getting old..) but thats the thing with shoujo manga logic: no communication for more misunderstandings/fights and I also saw that si and shancai could've totally teamed up against the mom, but the way shancai just closes herself off its making an opening for slower character development.. so frick. Also I hear this version was more considerate to the rest of F4 (since im guessing the other versions gave them smaller parts and made them more like background characters). Eitherway I love how each has their own quirk and Lei really grew on me uwu

Also does anyone know if dylan has ocd or something bc in Meteor Garden his hands always looked a lil *too* pink like he excessively washed his hands or something o.o

I think it's so cool that Joan Chen and Vivian Wu reunite as rival empresses in Ruyi's Royal Love In The Palace~! That's what brought me here & I'm glad i watched this good movie xx

This was squeaky clean, suspenseful and overall good. The message at the end is a definite MUST-WATCH! The main girl just seemed a bit stiff at times where there should have been more emotion.. kinda reminded me of Kristen Stewart /: Been hearing good things about the Japanese film this was based on, so may check that out later xx

Lmao this drama is definitely a light-hearted, not too serious rom-com historical drama. There's also flying and superpowers and references from other popular historical dramas like SPLASH SPLASH LOVE and the Scarlet Heart franchise. Although I prefer more serious and schemey historical dramas, this one was fun, clean & had a good OST

It wasn't as good as i hoped /:

A nice, cozy watch. Not too dramatic with just enough teen angst- also crafty with the artsy topics n such. 10/10 <3
