Yes! The only thing that changed on episode 3/4 is that Sunjae had the picture they had back then + memories before Taesung asked Sol to be his gf. The Sol that dated Taesung never paid attention to Sunjae (like the OG timeline did) so the accident in 2008 still happened.

Hi! To clear up your confusion, both of Sunjae's watch becomes a time machine. It activates whenever he dies and only when he dies does the time travel works. If you wonder why she's able to travel back in time while it's morning instead of midnight, it's because it only activates once he's /really/ dead. As far as theories go, grandma was shown as some sort of deity. She was playing with Sol's watch on episode one so she might've known something was going to happen to the two of them. Since she has memories of all the timelines, we can say that her travelling through her memories from her dementia made her all-knowing.
