I, on the other hand, only can appreciate him (or his CP-pairing) with the right script, like I'm a little more nitpicky/particular; for instance, I didn't care much for JJY's Sword & Fairy 4, even tho' I like her a lot, mainly due to her ML there, like he was simply horrible to watch, i.e. either his character or his acting was just too annoying.

TOTAL WASTE OF TIME: Kinda wish I didn't watch LAN for LXY at all, like I won't ever watch anymore of that ZYX's acting ever again.

So, for me, as an international audience of C-dramaland, I'd only watch what I like to watch, i.e. I'd come for the main stars that I like, but if the dramas are so horrible, I'd have to pull away/drop for I've many other things to do/watch.

Good thing there are highlights/trailers ahead of the actual showing that will help me to decide whether I should spend anytime on anything in C-dramaland.

I really dislike LAN's storyline w/ that FL/ZYX, like I stayed on longer to watch LXY than necessary, till I finally had to skip over all her parts to the very end [last episode), like she was just too horrible to endure for LXY's sake alone.

I tried watching UF cuz I like that CP-pairing personally, but I didn't care much for Rep. Era dramas, being too pare-down for me, like I couldn't even finish that drama, i.e. no romance.

I don't care that much for Tiffany Tang, so I'm not sure that I can even watch her CP-pairing w/ LXY.

Maybe Peach Blossoms Fold's got a better CP pairing for me to look forward to w/ LXY.

Lastly, I enjoyed BLOOD OF YOUTH/S1 very much, so I'm lookin' forward to S2 w/ LXY.

well, it's too hard for me to watch a drama w/ LXY, if his CP is horrible, and/or if he's the dying villain or bad guy, like I thought this drama is very suitable for him, like it showcased his acting, elegance and main lead role overall. ❣️❣️❣️

yea, my 1st outing w/ LXY was LAR, as SML, like I was drawn to him being the better looking/acting male lead than CY.

fast-forward, I was disappointed in his LAN w/ ZYX cuz she's by far the WORST actress, i.e. good looking but can't act, like she cannot emote or rather, she's quite wooden/phony in her acting; again, he was such a good catch, aka ML, but I skipped forward to the end, in skipping over ZYX's parts, like it's incredibly BAD when the CP ain't up to par. I didn't see their chemistry on-screen, yet they're rumored to be dating in real life, like who knew?!

anyhoo, I thought the CP here, at IB, was fine, like I could only wish for S2, for better/longer CP interactions bet. PY/LXY & YCW/JJY from fantasy fiction C-dramaland, for more to come.

I came here for both JJY & LXY, like I didn't have to put up w/ this drama at all, like I enjoyed it from start to finish, as I'm re-watching-n-binging, ad nauseam, till something better comes along.

except that he's only No. 2, so it's anybody's guess as to who No. 1 is, still open for interpretation, unless there's S2.

To each its own/different strokes for different folks: I dropped SHEN LI after 2 EPs vs *NOT* interested in lack of chemistry bet. BIA (didn't even bother to check that one out!), so more C-dramas watching for ya...
