oh for sure. so far, romance isn't the centerpiece of this drama, it's instead mostly focused on friendly bonds/relationships. so that's why the apparent romance between ML & FL could be a little worrying, depending on how the script goes about it

yes, I agree. I'm more into the development between ZYZ & ZYC because I feel like they have a more compelling dynamic, at least for now 😔

I also think that cdramas have been getting too comfortable misleading us with trailers lol. it's still too early to tell if this is the case with this drama, but I totally understand that 😔

there is no novel. it is an original script featuring mythology figures from "Classic of Mountains and Seas", so we do not know the ending

adding onto what Rhea already mentioned, KMLM is the embodiment of "good intentions, bad execution" in the form of inconsistent writing & no depth to the characters or plot. many of the choices made in the middle & later parts of the drama contradict everything we had already been shown. and, imo, the romance is not believable at all, since it seems more like they're using it to hide the countless flaws with the script. the current MDL rating is way too generous for that drama, but I think a lot of viewers on MDL eat up any and all romance as long it's physical lol.

I'm not sure why some people seem to hate ep. 6, I thought it was great 😔😭 I also think the moments with the fish demon & his lover will be important symbolism for the rest of the drama.

though I will acknowledge that this is the first time I felt some of the song track switches were out of place. like when ZYC wakes up from his dream and then they bust out the Liu Yuning rap, lmao. the silence before that moment was great. keep it! sometimes silence is the answer!!

I might be crazy, but kinda feels like people are just rating bombing iQiyi dramas in general this year lol. I know iQiyi isn't having the best year, but there are some dramas that got rated soooooo much lower than arguably worse dramas from other networks
