I agree with you, that entire scene felt so pointless/filler to me 😭 going out of your way to do something like that is too much, it really just shows that person is still on your mind in some way. as for the "lets write our names on the lantern" moment... yeah, we already know SY is a loser, they don't need to keep showing us the same thing over and over 😭

the director is bringing out the best in both of them! he's shooting them beautifully, giving them good instructions, etc. people really underestimate how important it is to have a good director.

I always feel like the odd one out on these drama pages because I actually like AvenueX 🤣 I usually find myself agreeing with most of her takes, even if it's a drama I'm personally enjoying. I think fandom culture is one of the bigger reasons why so many people dislike her, but I'm not into that so I can reasonably listen to her opinions with no bias.

I've been seeing a lot of negative comments on twitter, scrolled through this page and saw the same thing 😅 the dynamic between Fugui & Qing Tong was my favorite part in the beginning eps, so it sounds a little disappointing. I'm also not a big fan of when dramas focus too much on side characters.

douban is a chinese website for rating dramas, movies, etc. it is out of 10, but the douban raters are very harsh, so it's fairly rare for domestic dramas to go higher than 8. scoring a 7 is quite good for their standards, considering most idol dramas are usually stuck in the 5-6 range.
